I am a fairly new member here. Before I even registered as a user I lurked, read the rules and got a feel for the place. That's what you should do with any forum you are interested in. I never understand the folks who jump in and don't know what they are jumping into.

When I joined I had absolutely no experience with the internet.

I jumped in with eyes wide shut and caught a bit of flack. BOR came to my aid and I learned too be a bit less sarcastic.

I am glad I developed a thick skin and I even now avoid the GENPOL fora to some extent.

On mobile, at least, left to right at the top of the reply box is B for bold I for italic then 3 dots, press that, then second icon over is a pie with a piece missing with 4 dots, otherwise know as a color palette, colors are in there.
Because purple letters matter.

One that contributes to the conversation. The rules say no short one liners.
Look we have guys that run around posting, 1, 2, 3 and so one. We have had guys that just go around posting, I agree over and over. The idea is to be a contributing member of our community. If you don't want to be that, pay the $20 and live in the classifieds for a year.

Let me add, that in some circumstances a one liner could be a quality post. Say someone is asking about an issue he is having with a gun and you diagnose it, or tell him what to check in one line, God Bless, I don't foresee any mod trimming that post.
