I know one thing. If we allow peoples lives to be destroyed who have sound character witnesses and a life of evidence they are a good person, just by a mere so called "credible" accusation. Then we are all in BIG trouble because 90% of us do not have half the background the judge has.
Rule of law, due process must rule the day.
Accusations are no substitution for evidence

I woke up this morning with a less positive attitude about Kavanaugh. A good Irish-Catholic kid who easily gets an upset stomach, was a virgin into his 20's and throws up spaghetti?

Very freaking wimpy. Maybe a little light in the loafers. Of course, when you grow up in a state named "Mary", you probably already start out with a strike against you.

And I'd like to go on record that I don't remember much of the 80's, but probably more than Steven Tyler does.

Be that as it may, I hope he gets confirmed this weekend. No one should be subjected to this type of senatorial and media abuse over their high school activities. Democracy was embarrassed on the world stage this month. We gave aid and comfort to our enemies with this display.

The Dems continue to take the low road in the Senate committee meeting slandering Kavanaugh while the Republicans take the high road and not slandering clueless Ford! Senator Whitehouse … what a joke like the others.

Not necessarily. I believe Kavanaugh. I believe he did not do this as he states.

I also believe Ford has wires crossed in her head. Someone did this to her. She believes it was Kavanaugh with her whole mind. She is wrong. It was someone else. She's not lying.....she truly believes it. She's just wrong.

Well said, but she is still claiming that it was Kavanaugh. If it turn out that it wasn't, even if the event happened with someone else, she is still lying that it was Kavanaugh. It's understandable if she is mixing someone up, but she has gone under oath and claimed that without a shadow of a doubt that it was him.

Dr Ford struck me as an easily confused, unsure of herself person that relied on her (Democrat activist) lawyers/handlers for what she should say.

I believe I read that it recently took her six days of reflection to decide that it was actually Kavanaugh. I assume those six days were filled with the same lawyers manipulating her into what she should believe.

While I feel sorry for her, I'm not buying it at all. She's been used and abused by the democratic party...her lawyers didn't even tell her that the offer was made for questioners to come to her in private to avoid the public spectacle.

I sent an email to Donnelly this morning expressing my wish that he vote to confirm Kavanaugh.

Pence doesn't look so silly anymore does he? I'm sure the dems will still say he's sexist. My son is 3. I'm wondering if I should "teach" him that he shouldn't have any friends that are girls. He shouldn't spend any time with girls. He shouldn't look at or talk to girls. The risk just isn't worth it.

You can't live your life trying to prevent people from making false accusations. They're false accusation- what you actually do is irrelevant.

That being said, I have always followed the "Pence rule", which is more properly the "Billy Graham rule". I have more respect for my wife than to allow rumors to start. Rumors and false accusations are related, but not the same. You can do things that others may make a big deal out of that become rumors...and this can largely be prevented. However, if truth means nothing, people can make false accusations no matter what you do.

I have sons 21 and 13 and daughters 18 and 15. They were all taught to treat others with respect and to observe a very particular morality. They were not taught to avoid the opposite sex. In fact, I am actively encouraging the older ones to seek out good marriage material.

I will forever now abide by this in all professional settings. I will now be forced to reinforce this not only with my son, but also with my two young daughters. It is a shame what liberalism has done to this country.

This is the best outlook if one believes both are credible, and is unable to decide who is more likely to lie.

You are absolutely hillaryous, Kut. I always get a laugh out of contortionists! I wish I had your flexibility.
