I think attendance was hurt by the day it was held. Those that were home, often avoid getting out on Black Friday, period. They don't like traffic or crowds.

I also think that there are a LOT of people on this board like Hornady that do not want many people on the internet knowing them in real life.

    This.

You ate-up OC people give the vast majority of legitimate, conscientious, and responsible gun owners and enthusiasts a bad name. You're baiting the police into action, and threaten litigation when they're simply doing their job. Walking downtown with an AK, AR, or MP5 around your neck is just not normal. It is behavior that realistically demands an appropriate police contact inquiring why the hell you have such a weapon in an urban area. Do you not watch the news? Active shooters in schools, colleges and workplaces? It would be a lot different if you had a shotgun or hunting rifle out in the country during hunting season. That's normal. Assault rifles downtown - not normal - get it?

I might be new here on this web site, but a three decades plus paid career in law enforcement qualifies me to have an opinion. I wouldn't still be on the job if I didn't have at least a modicum of common sense.

People have the 2nd amendment right to keep and bear arms - a right that SHOULD be upheld. That doesn't make carrying long guns downtown a good idea. People have the right to free speech. That doesn't mean protesting war and yelling "the only good soldier is a dead soldier" at a military funeral is a good idea. You have the right to dive head-first in the shallow end....................get it?

Your arguments simply are not based upon good common sense. Perhaps the size of the weapon you carry is your compensation for lack of size elsewhere.

"three decades plus" in LE and your idea of a logical debate is to insult? :dunno:

"three decades plus" and you think detaining, cuffing, and verbally harassing a Citizen, even after they were found to have a legitimate LTCH, is "just doing their job"??

What does your "three decades plus" tell you about forcing a law abiding gun owner to (under the false pretense of “Officer Safety”) disarm, drop the magazine, and clear the chamber, in a public place?

What does your "three decades plus" tell you about RIGHTS? Apparently not a darn thing. So much for that silly Vow you took to uphold the Constitution, eh?

Ok. You're an officer and ENTITLED (not qualified) to have an opinion. I respect that opinion. But please tell me something. Do you discourage as strongly that gay men should not kiss in public downtown? Cause that's pretty out of the norm and offensive to a LOT of people, but you don't see me berating them because they do.

We aren't "baiting" the police into doing anything. If anything, they should be harassing REAL criminals instead of stopping every person they see with a gun to "check them out". The very thing you are advocating is the same as saying people driving high-end sports cars should be pulled over because those are not normally seen around here and go REALLY fast and could be out to drag race down meridian street. Do you think that person should be pulled over every time an officer sees him to make sure he's legal and responsible?

Look, just because you don't like the idea of people carrying an EBR in your precious upscale downtown doesn't mean people should be handcuffed, berated, and "checked out" because you don't like it. Next you'll be advocating EVERYONE be stopped and checked out because they may or may not be carrying a concealed handgun!

Whatcha got in the trunk? I'll bet it isn't an air rifle.

Do you not watch the news? Active shooters in schools, colleges and workplaces?
Yep. All gun free zones. That worked well. You might not understand this, but criminals DO NOT obey laws.

And these are less destructive? Less dangerous?

I carry a .40, how would you assess my man parts?
