APRA requests coming back. Getting background done before any litigation.

Apparently County paid $28.5K for the Rapiscan. It was $1,200 to ship (not a surprise). I'll try to post the invoices once Lindsey is done with her stack.

Commissioner called me this morning while I was in Clinton Co. Let's hope the return call in productive.

Wow. I would have guessed more money than that. In world where the .gov pays $500 for a claw hammer, this Rapiscan seems frugal. Although there could be a maintenance fee that far exceeds the initial cost. A machine that isn't needed, stationed in a place it isn't required, and everyone involved in procurement and application of the machine thinks it's OK. Bestest and brightestest.

Godspeed in going after the bureaucracy in all its forms.

The people are now in service to the government, and have been for some time. Anybody calling him or herself a 'public servant' these days deserves a swift kick to the backside. "Don't **** down my back and tell my it's raining."
    Let's talk and reason first.

Friendly conversation with Commissioner Brown this morning. He wanted letter County Attorney sent me in 2017.

Friendly but I was insistent that the metal detector has to go. Made my position known but no climbing on desks (I only climb on desks for the City of Lafayette).

Spoke with a Commissioner at length on Friday.

Related my concern and the letter from the County Attorney conceding the fact that people can carry in 111 North 4th Street.

Related my demand that the metal detector comes out, immediately. Give them until next Commissioners' Meeting to act on their own before I go skipping off to court.
