Short trailers are a b@st@rd to back up, but the tandem axles on a horse trailer makes it a lot easier as the trailer doesn't swing so quickly. That being said, our set up allows us to pull through almost everywhere we have to go (except the vet).

    Funny commercial.

    This^^^^^^

I can put a 50'+ trailer in some pretty tight spots.

But put me in front of a bumper hitch and a short trailer and a drunk 5 year old could probably do better.

For a real challenge, try a 4' long garden cart behind a John Deere lawn tractor and try and back it in a straight line. :):

    I've tried that. It's impossible.
It's not very forgiving, that's for sure! The biggest thing I've towed is my 20' pontoon boat, and I've parallel parked with that, but the garden cart is just a bridge too far. :): I've got an 8' utility trailer that I haul mulch around the yard with the JD, and even it is much easier.

Mad skills bigtanker! You want to be scared and impressed at the same time? Watch some of those dollar general semis back into some of their stores! Those guys just don’t have any *’s to give!

You can back a 4ft garden cart, or any other kind of trailer, with a ZTR, no problem.... unless it has hay wagon style steering...
