I heard them run the serial number of the gun over the scanner. I can't think of a reason for them to do that with a vendor's gun, so I would assume it was his own.

Unbelievable. Does anybody know how Many times in past 5 years shots have gone off at the 1500? I've heard of couple other times but may have been longer ago?

regardless of who's gun it was. if someone shot themselves with there own gun or someone else's its going to be ran.

i am not sure how many times its happened but i do know for sure this is the second time someone has shot themself up there.

So anyone know what occured? Vendor had gun in holster and pulled it out? On table? Etc?

actually you may be right last year was the richocet off the floor hitting someone wasn't it? so that would make 3 people shot at the 1500 in the past couple years

I hope the guy is banned from ever being allowed back at the 1500 if it was a vendor.

They just made an announcement - it was an exhibitor and it was his own gun. He is (appropriately) kicked out of the show and banned for life.

That is the first time I've ever heard a gunshot at the 1500 myself. Hope it's the last - far too exciting.
