Interesting that my liberal friends on social media are strangely quiet. While liberal my friends are still smart. While they are disappointed with the verdict they realize other than an evil black gun being allowed to exist this was self defense. I think they are not posting because the facts are not what the media told them for the entire last year.

In addition to the automatic rifle their only other remaining argument is Kyle should not have been there and he would not have had to defend himself. I usually ask “if the rape victim had not gone out clubbing (i.e. in Wisc.) in that short skirt (i.e. AR15) she would not have been raped.” MeToo

Well. No. It’s me. These days I INGO mostly by iphone. Long posts make my thumbs tired.

That’s what Pete Buttigieg says… “Long posts make my thumbs tired.” Hope your thumbs aren’t tired from doing the same thing with posts as Pete. If so though you may want to disinfect your screen (and clear your browser history).

I'm gonna miss the Rittenhouse trial which brought INGO together in one accord for a few brief days.

Don't worry. I'm sure the lefties will find someone else to use as a whipping boy before too long...
The defamation suits will start soon, and I'm sure at least one enterprising AR maker like Spikes will probably try to come out with a "Kenosha Kid" rollmarked AR lower at some point...

Very true. "Pineapple on pizza" joined with "that's disgusting", 1911 sat down with Glock, 45acp and 9mm came together, those with trial experience were appreciated for their wisdom. Over 2,300 posts and AFAIK not any admonishments from the staff other than "post the trial stuff in the trial thread" and that was in the riots thread.

Now I have to decide whether to post the post-trial looting and vandalism link here or in the Kenosha riots thread.

Nothing says I care about the direction of my Country like looting a Luis Vuitton store. That's higher end than the Neiman Marcus that got looted so they must care more.

Segregated grieving? Do they have separate water fountains, too? What a regression in the name of progress.

I've read several post acquittal tirades by various social media darlings and "celebrities" and they've all united on one "truth"; Kyle Rittenhouse opened fire on unarmed protesters". Did they not see the same videos and listen to the same testimony that I did? The other "truth" they've all settled on is that KR is a "white supremacist". I guess "racist" has been overused so it's being retired? Oh and one more, by him shooting in self defense "innocent, peaceful protestors that were marching in support of a black man" and was exonerated this is simply another example of white privilege.

MAN these people don't give up!

Nope. They probably saw the evidence in the headlines of the MSM all along. That is all they needed.

Now that the left's narrative has been proven wrong in the courtroom, there is now a proliferation of articles that the right is dangerous for making Rittenhouse a model citizen.

I googled "Rittenhouse a hero" and found article after article from the left about how the right is horrible for making him a hero, but I was unable to find any articles from the right saying such a thing. Did I just miss it, or is this just the latest false narrative?

I suspect attention will quickly turn to the Ahmaud Arbery trial. That at least may have a legit racial element that the media salivates over. The coverage of the Rittenhouse trial seems to have taken up most of the media's focus with Arbery getting second billing.

I'll be curious to see if there's a change in direction for cities with these problems. Will police be instructed to get more involved rather than stand down at riots or will they be focusing on watching the victims of the riots for signs of fighting back. Leadership is REALLY unhappy with this verdict even though most are saying that they respect the jury's decision. You can see it in the expressions and tense body language.

I had wondered if the Rittenhouse verdict would be similar to the Kent State shooting. Violent on campus riots pretty much died out (no pun intended) after the National Guard shot some rioters. It seems not, given the riots that happened last night. It seems the Democrat- supported criminals will continue as long as the weather isn't too bad. I do notice they are hitting the most expensive stores now. I haven't seen any of the "oppressed" stealing food.

Also most of the protest signs have the same message and display websites for Socialist organisations. I would gladly contribute money to send them to the "Socialist Paradise" of their choice.

That's pretty rich coming from them. They try to make heroes out of the POS criminal thugs that attacked Rittenhouse. It's as if they ignore all of that. They would be cheering if those mutants would've killed Kyle.

I'm seeing the more reasonable people admit that he was not guilty. They also state with something I basically agree with: that it was bad judgment for him to go there. Their next step though is to worry about more people exercising such bad judgment.

This is the point where it's acceptable to point out that all 4 people that attacked Rittenhouse had criminal records and had the most significant role in this violence. We need to remember that last summer there was a permissive attitude towards the BLM post-parties. AFAIK, the daytime BLM protests really were "mostly peaceful" but then the support of those protests made it politically unpalatable for law enforcement to stop the crime that followed them. People who dismissed and excused that violence might bear as much responsibility as a 17 yr old who put himself in a risky situation.
