Well, I guess that would be me. I usually keep it below 90 but I will move over. Most often I try to stay in the lane just right of it.

Then that isn't you. When I drove it regularly, I would spend more time in the right lanes going around people than the left because of people that would never move over.

Good morning all. Arc flash training starts in about an hour until noon. Then niece’s funeral service.
The pork butt came out great and it fell off the bone when I took it off the smoker.. so that’s ready! . who in their right mind schedules arc flash training on a Saturday morning right after working all night? It’s ok I have confined space training in a couple weeks for an all day Saturday so a 5 hour yawn fest will be easy
Sorry complaining is now over back to your breakfast.. have a great Saturday! Tim

Sorry to hear about the niece.

Training after a midnight, usually scheduled by bosses that never had to do that.

    Arc flash training sucks.
The only class I had on it, assumed I was an electrician.. which I'm not.
So I didn't understand most of the class.

After I was told, that they didn't care, they just needed to check a box, I told the boss I'd make sure to mention that to OSHA at any investigation I'm in.

Did you hire in as a systems tech? You have to pass the MTE and then systems to get it now lol

I hired in as an Electronics Tech, 'C' rate. job class 16
Promoted to Electronics Tech 'B' rate. job class 18
Promoted to Electronics Tech 'A' rate. job class 20
Promoted to Systems Repairman. job class 22

Systems Repair and Motor Inspector are 'supposedly' combined into Maintenance (Electrical).
This is when they changed everything to 5 job classes
Except, each craft was SUPPOSED to receive training to bring them up to the combined level.

And that training was NOT given.
So, by the companies own rules, I was not combined.
There was an entire schedule of classes laid out.

Also.. I've seen their recent training.
They train people as 'electrician/motor inspector', and give them a band aid class for systems.
Then wonder why they're having a hard time getting their instruments and control systems fixed.

I've heard people say, that the West Side was actually training people.
And therefore, was having less problems.
Also, in my area, I was job class 5.
Motor Inspectors were paid job class 4.
So, they then wanted the motor inspectors to do the work, but not get paid the extra job class to do my job.
Then wondered why nobody was taking them up on the offer.
We had ONE motor inspector go through the upgrade training, take the test, and get paid.
But then they stopped that. Can't have those guys getting paid more. Nope.
