2 hours of putting flags on vet's graves at Memory Lane in Schererville today.

If I hurt this much from that, Friday is really going to suck.
    Calumet Park cemetery.
It's much appreciated. It's always an impressive display at Memory Lane when they plant all those flags in the grass out near the road for Memorial Day.

You're a good man L. Nice that you have more time to do those things now.

My one-time business partner, and Veteran of the Battle of the Bulge, had a lot to do with the Calumet Park facilities. Mr. William (Bill) Tuley. RIP Sir.

When I was working, I would use a vacation day to do it.
For the Calumet Park Cemetery anyway. Memory Lane is smaller, we had 4 people working and it took around 2 hours. 3 of the 4 were from my family. Cal Park on the other hand..
I think I've done this every year for almost 3 decades. Maybe 2 and a half.

One year, I F'd up, and forgot to request the day off, and had to beg someone to trade a day.

FWIW, and I know you didn't ask me/others, but I use a dry rub on brisket that is 1/3 black pepper, 1/3 salt and 1/3 onion powder

For a full brisket I smoke it for about 14 hours, and at about the mid-point I wrap it in either butcher paper or foil. Keeping the smoker just about 200 degrees

For beef brisket I keep it simple. Fresh cracked pepper (medley of white, red, and black peppercorns), sea salt and a bit of garlic and onion powder.

Doing pork shoulder is a whole different combo of spices
