Being trumped will probably become an updated expression in the political lexicon.

Meanwhile, this is just another update in the continuing saga of patriots being trumped.
New century, new generation falling for the same stuff. Reminds me of listening to shortwave in early 90's.

    Ignoring the weird vocabulary use...

But the guy has a checkered past, ok... what is this, "same old stuff" you're talking about?
Do you think the FBI installed him there?

As someone who worked cases with, shared an office with and carried Federal LE credentials with the FBI for a couple of years I wouldn't be surprised in the least and would actually lean toward it being likely.

Well of course its someone else's fault, it's always someone else's though. Sine he's willing to attempt to throw Trump under the bus I'm sure there will be no questions as to this guy's credibility. I mean, he only participated in the most egregious attack on US soil since 911.

Anyone wanna bet the left's hypocrisy comes in like a bolt of lightning to make this guy out to be the second coming of Christ??

Here is all you need to know about his motivation:

"Jacob Anthony Chansley later regretted being "duped" by the former president after he didn’t receive a pardon after the attack on the Capitol, lawyer Albert Watkins told KSDK-TV in St. Louis last week."
The left is gonna love him. Their latest "victim" to parade around.

Right? "Trump made me get all these silly-ass tattoos and wear this stupid hat and carry a spear!"

It's a miracle that I escaped unscathed, tattoo-free and I still don't have a buffalo horn hat. Then again, I don't have any deep-rooted psychological issues.

Just make up a story about mean Trump and you'll be on the national news. They'd much rather report that than anything the democrats are destroying at that moment.

Somebody should do a trojan horse on them - say all the libtard garbage that they want to hear - get on national news and then tell the truth.
    IndyBeerman approves of this post.

The only problem is that they might do a little background digging on social media to see if you fit their agenda, then there's the problem that it would
need to be a live spot, because if pre-recorded it becomes trash fodder.

Is this sarcasm? Just genuinely do not know anymore because 70+% of the posts in this thread seem to have backed it, and called them patriots.
    Define “patriots”.

What they did, IMO, and I’ll catch flack for this I’m sure but I don’t care, was show the government who’s still in charge. Was it smart? No. Was it unifying? Not at all. Did it show people are fed up and take our elections and our country serious, and still willing to do whatever they have to in order to defend the foundations our great country is supposed to represent? Yes.

Without instances like this occasionally, the suit and tie sellouts think they’re able to do whatever they want without consequence. Their failure to represent the will of the people has to have consequences. Most politicians represent the people because if they don’t they won’t be re elected. If they begin stealing elections, those consequences for their actions no longer exist.

Again. I don’t condone what happened, nor do I agree with it, but it is a necessary evil.

Websters can define patriot, but I can tell you what I picture of in my mind when I hear the word Patriot. I think of men storming the beaches of Normandy, I think of everyone who went into the twin towers to help others instead of running for safety, etc. Yours may differ.

A few reasons I dont think these people are patriots:
They had zero plans, they were just a mob
A guy wearing a nazi hoodie walked around freely amongst them without a care
They tore down an American flag and attempted to replace it with a Trump flag
A cop was beat with an American flag
The Capitol was vandalized and disrespected by these people. (I think I read someone took a crap in a hallway)

Now that does not mean everyone in that crowd did the same level of acts. But anyone who was involved with breaking into the Capitol is not a patriot to me. I also find it crazy that I read people on here say antifa were the instigators, and they started the mob. So if that is true then are we calling antifa patriots?

Scaring politicians isnt going to do anything but make them want to regulate firearms more, surround themselves with more protection and slowly become further from the reality of an everyday person than they already are in my opinion.

I agree in the sense that it only seems to have made them double down on their oppressive/suppressive authoritarian agenda against the Right.

    “Antifa did it!!”

Can you point me to a post where I said it was antifa? If not, it doesn’t seem appropriate to put something I said in quotations followed by something I didn’t say, then follow it with cmon man.
Earlier in the thread the “Patriot” wing of INGO was trying to claim that Antifa instigated the insurrection, and pretty much the whole group posting was piling on. I thought you had been one of them. If you have always acknowledged that the “Patriots” were the instigators, notwithstanding the presence of some Antifa supporters, then I am mistaken. Good on you for at least being consistent.
