LaPierre is speaking at CPAC... being very political, going after intelligence community, speaking ill of the "left"...

The NRA was supposed to be an advocacy group... a bi-partisan movement. I know it's CPAC and all... but it seems like a bad move to make for the broader electorate.

Stick to guns and gun safety... Else they turn into the Right's version of PPFA or some Soros group.

I'm sure there are plenty here that love this, the absolutists that think anyone with a left-leaning idea is the enemy... but this just feels like a move they're going to regret.

Might get some heat to lift off of gun control and "**** the NRA"... new news just broke that an armed officer at the school at the time of the shooting did not enter to respond to the shooting, and stood outside upward of 4 minutes while Cruz killed people.

It's going to be really easy to point to things like this and say, "Blame them. Blame this officer that pussied out, failed to do the job he was charged to do."

You implied that you did not know if you would go to the aid of children, if you were an armed guard paid to protect those children. I am sure I would go, armed or not, knowing what I know about myself and what I have done in the past.
