    In the country, hopefully.
Wife n I do a lot of online auctions due to our business, word of advice. Make your highest bid, not a bid during the auction. Don’t get caught up in the heat of the moment. Then forget about it. If you win- you’ll know about it. If you win good for you, if you don’t, you didn’t want it for that price anyway. JMO.
No way, how do I know ahead of time what my highest price is? That knowledge only comes with that feeling you get when you see “time extended…”
    ;)

Don’t know that I’d buy a gun at an auction, but spent a couple hundred thousand on equipment and trucks over the years on online auctions, almost always somewhere between ‘bargain’ and ‘fair’.

ETA; I can’t stand going to local live auctions like an old farm auction, unless there’s something there that I can’t live without. Online only for me.

The droning of the auctioneers as they drag out the bidding of each item with nonsensical noise-babble drives me nuts. I went to this Frieje auction in 2021 and had a splitting headache for the next two days. Never again.

Auction starts soon. If you really want something, go bid in person. The year I was there, they openly admitted that if the high bid in the room matched the high bid online, they'd give it to the room. Seemed shady, but their comment was, "if you really wanted it, you'd have come to the auction."

Pulled in at 0910, I’d estimate 100 vehicles in the parking lot. I’m standing by the back door where I can get some semblance of reception out here.

    I'm looking at completed auctions.
    My interests have narrowed somewhat so;

Bauer .25s seem to have dropped in value. 3 or four went for 350 ish.
Franken AR 15 prices are in the toilet.
Looks like somebody bought a Dan Wesson 14 for a 15 price.
Colt Sp1s are hit and miss. The 2K one was a theft. The 3K one (listed as a 1971 was a 1981)
Pro tip; any number after SP in the serial is part of it. So SP168xxx is a six digit.
NOT SP1 68xxx. A five digit. A five digit is closer to C&R status.

    I'm only 6 or seven pages in and already thinking $$$ X 10% X7% X3%

They had some very nice firearms.

I left with one, I didn't own an N-Frame and now I do.

I grabbed the Model 27 which came up before the Model 66-1. I thought $1,000 was a bit much. I wouldn't have chased that one that far.

A few other on my list (the ones @Smith& W didn't buy, he bought 3 that were on my list) were in the range I was willing to go. Don't know how far the "other bidder" would've chased.

Also, I'm not an M-1 Garand guy. One went for $6K. Not sure why.

The Hi-Points and Jennings went for about what you'd expect.

Sometimes, you just REALLY want a widely available $500 gun, and nothing is going to stop you from getting it right this minute!

That's $880 with the premium, so pushing $950 with tax and fees?
