Just ran across this and a quick search did not turn up anything on INGO, so here it goes:

Antonio Morrison arrested for barking at police dog - College Football - SI.com

Florida LB Antonio Morrison barks at dog, gets arrested

My question is: If the dog was in the vehicle, how was the dog actively involved in the officer's investigation at the time? :dunno:

I know what Morrison did sounds immature, but I have to wonder how it crosses the line into an illegal action? I understand it would be very different if the dog was out of the vehicle and performing a search at the time, but this sounds somewhat silly on the face of it. :twocents:

I wonder if he'd still been arrested if he'd barked at the human officer.

Yes, it was a stupid thing to do, but it hardly sounds criminal.

Over and over again I read stories of police shooting housepets with no repercussions.

Yet you can't even talk to their their pets without getting thrown in a cage.

Some animals are more equal than others.

The dog is an animal that can not reason. It reacts to aggression The football playing mutton head worked the dog up making for a dangerous situation? I don't know :dunno: The charge should have been acting like an Ass Hat in public?

Hey, you shall respect the authority of the dog as well. Barking is disrespectful and we know what happens when you're convicted of contempt of cop.

Note to self: do not play "Who Let the Dogs Out?" when K9 units are nearby. Song contains lyrics that mimic barking.

If the dog is in the back of the cruiser, I've been told not to approach it because that's partly how it knows it is on duty somehow. I typically steer clear of police K-9's though. Who in there right mind wants to **** off a dog trained to hold you down while someone can cuff you LOL
