I watched it last night. I give it a 7 out of 10 rating. We will see. Spielburg always puts a hamper to my enjoyment at times. Like taking the guns out of ET and replacing them with walkie talkies.

I watched and will check out the next few episodes. Thought it looked like it might be worthwhile during the summer drought on the tube. My 19 year old son watched it with me.....he thought it would be a cool situation to be in. We had one of our long talks about things that are a bit more realistic that could happen and the difficulties and downsides of some sort of worldwide conflict that would throw people into similar situations. He kind of changed his mind.

Set my DVR a week ago because I can never sit and watch anything when it is on. And in true busy body fashion I was power shoping with my better half at the grocery store buying stock up items and am actually watching it now waiting on a conference call for work..lol

So far it doesn't look too bad but the thought of fighting bugs and not other humans does seems to have been done a few times lately, anyone see Battlefront LA? Same thing, bugs come to earth to take what they want, we fight them..

The thing I noticed in this was that they fought with EMP's and Nukes and took out all the armed forces and government.. Hint hint, don't live in a capitol... Move to the country, stock pile food, weapons, ammo, oh wait.. Most of us already do that.. Does that mean we would be the 2nd Indiana resistance? lol

It looks worth DVRing at least back ground noise while doing other things..

Watching it now... Looks cool but reminds me of Terminator. A LEO buddy of mine back home commented an inordinate use of the term "clips".

DVR'd it and going to watch it tomorrow, getting antsy with the lapse between seasons... The Walking Dead not coming back till October, Haven and Alphas in July, not sure about Storm Chasers...

I'd say it was a good start to a series. It had the feel of the first couple chapters of a long book that turns out pretty good in the end--building storyline, history, introducing characters and all that... I'm going to give it a few more episodes to see if it really does build a good story. But I seriously doubt it'll be as good as Covert Affairs or Burn Notice!!! Yes, I know--apples and oranges...

Yeah, I just watched it on DVR and thought the exact same thing. If that was limited, i'd hate to see normal... The one hour episodes will be left with 30 minutes or less of plot...

Watched the show Sunday night. It was interesting but there are alot of plot holes that right now don't make sense.

It's no Jericho but I will keep watching it and give it a chance. It has kept me interested so far.

There are certainly some holes in the plot you could drive a train through.

I thought the acting was decent and the effects weren't bad.

Way too many commercials. After all the commercials and the end credits are cut out the show is down to 1h:22 minutes. I'm so sick of commercials, they have gotten way out of hand. The only positive thing about them in this show (so far that is) is that they were regular breaks and not integrated into the actual show like they do in some others like 'Bones'. Made me sick the first time they were driving around in the show and started talking about the features of the van they were in. Almost quit watching right then.
