That was my point...newbie would have smoked dad in that tight a target field of fire. Skitter was left of dad and my experience had the muzzle going right and up. That would have changed the father son dynamic just a bit Huh.

Mechs are expensive...how long did it take for each of you to figure out the skitters weren't
in charge. Did you figure out before the lead characters? I mean really, no clothes or hand
weapons but they mount an intergalactic invasion.
Do you think the humans will get that the new aliens are allies or will it take a few episodes?
(Who do they think the big gun was for?)
How long before they get the general is under fishhead control, or Hal?
(If the general isn't under fishhead control he's one big a$$#***.)

There is a good example of a developing power structure and how it would play out in a real SHTF scenario. I think it will get even more interesting when we see how all this plays out.

The big gun was for the guys who landed at the end. They are a previous victim of the fishheads looking for revenge, trailing them from planet to planet throughout the galaxy for eons, and they've finally caught them. With their help, humanity will put an end to the fishheads' marauding campaign of planetary rape and robbery.

It almost seemed you had read the script and story line.
That does seem to be how this will play out. I am interested to see how the human nature side is developed as in the power structure in Charleston...Leaders, fighters and sheeple.

I'm hoping the new guys are baddies. I mean I could handle the skitter rebellion but another race coming down to help the 2nd mass? They'd be better served to hang out in Charleston and let the aliens go at it.

Great show with lots of great firearms. Got into it last year. I find it impressive and entertaining for a guy who is not into Science Fiction.
