Seemed busy for a midterm election but I'm no expert. About 30 minutes in/out. A verbal pissing match between do-gooders trying to electioneer outside. "You can't be in the chute". "I'm not! This isn't the chute!" "I'm gonna get somebody down here." "Go ahead. You should!"
    Oooh Kaaay.

Had about 1.5 hour line when we went at 10AM. Per the "workers", it was at least an hour wait from the time they opened.

    So, darned good local turnout.

The Hendricks County Government Center had no line, per those same poll workers.

And of course right on cue the Dominion machines are all going down across Arizona. American elections are the envy of the world you guys.

I don't understand the machines here in Indy. It's just printing your choices onto paper for you to stuff in the envelope. What's wrong with coloring in a scantron page? Are we too dumb to use a pencil?

I don't know what kind they have, but in Hendricks county we these little numbers

Only paper is the "grocery receipt" thing above the red button where you check your selections before pressing the button to vote. We don't have to handle any paper.

Its necessary to allow us to vote anywhere in the county. That lets the machine generate the ballot on the fly. Pre-printed ballots would either require you to vote in only one place, or they'd have to overprint* and send enough copies of every single ballot to every single polling location.

*I'm sure cheaters would LOOOOOOVE this option.

i don't vote straight ticket, but felt like I had to today over here in Owen County. I'd like to see more candidates/choices. Especially if like the school choices - with "nonpartisan" or independents, lol

Howard County. Voted on paper, fed it to a tabulator. In and out within 5 minutes, didn't disarm. Do your civic duty while exercising your rights.
Don't forget about Young's voting record, make him have a bad night.

Steady flow so far today. Very interesting conversations going on about how the less than 1/4 of eligible voters line up to do their one issue voting. Like Carp that feed at the waters edge, the propaganda fed voters each push the button for their idea of righteousness wether it be greed or principle. Entertaining.

So much nicer to vote anywhere vs specific location IMO. Used to be lucky if out in an hour or 2. Last election it was 4-6 hours. This year under 5 minutes. I think expanding early voting and adding some locations helped as well.

These are the machines we use in Dubois County.
Used these probably the last 2-3 elections, think the previous ones may have been an earlier model but were about the same without the tickertape. Never had any issues with the changing of selections or anything. Just don't know who the manufacturer is.

Voted ~9:30 at the local American Legion (bar was Closed)

Lady ahead of me was sent Home for not having her State ID

They took my Drivers License and set it on a Ipad with a Special Bracket - scanned it and brought up my Voter Information on the screen - which I Confirmed & Signed with a stylus - it printed out a Grocery Receipt

I was 4th in line for the 3 voting machines

(Borrowing pic from previous post above )

Gave my Grocery Receipt to the worker - who escorted me to the machine and put a Plastic Card in the top slot - which reset the Machine for my use

Made my selections ( 5 screens ) then Final screen instruction to Press the RED button

    They had stickers & lollipops-
