The best gun law they could pass would be to put Don Davis out of business and stick his 77 year old ass with his friends in the state pen.

All very true,I actually worked for him(about 2 months)in the late 80`s.What a crook,I was his auction buyer, all seemed well till 1 day I noticed about half the guns I`d bought and signed for were no where in the building!Talk about po`ed!So I collected up the other half, turned them in to a state trooper friend of mine and mailed him his keys back(sig. req. of course)talk about hittin the roof,he did everything but threatin my life(what a grin)anyway he did everthing short if takin me to court(he was afraid)so I finally had my lawyer contact him-end of problem!

Im pretty sure if I used words that properly described how I feel about Don's Guns (and the man himself) I would probably be placed into some sort of double secret probation.

I would almost (not quite, but pretty damn close) trust Daley before Don.

Didn't he do the same thing back in the Clinton administration days, just before the AWB ? I think he burned a crate of SKS rifles at his north side store back then, anything to get some free airtime on the local networks.

Mr. Davis is well aware that the NRA and other pro-gun groups will not allow any anti-gun laws that he proposes to be passed. Therefore it's easy for him to make any of his wild statements for their passage. This is only a pathetic attempt on his part to make himself look like a responsible citizen. We all know that isn't possible!! A kneebreaker funded by the Teamsters Union in the 70's and a Jimmy Hoffa affiliate shouldn't influence anyone with his BS.

Yep, he sure did. He got on the news constantly talking about how we needed to ban "assault rifles," and held a rifle burning at his store (I thought it was AK47s though). I remember it all very well, and haven't set foot in his store since. I went in his Greenwood store a couple of years before that looking at AR15s, and once I saw that he was asking about $200 over list price, I pretty much gave up on him anyway.
