This is a sad state of affairs when even ER is thought a "very good find". That was always on the shelf for purchase just a couple of years ago...
Checked in Bloomington and Columbus none to be found. Then went into a local store I haven’t been into for a while and he had 3 cases. I bought 4 bottles. Now when I go into his store he always says he has some in the back for me.

I need another bottle of Heritage BSB 103! I think I got it from a little liquor store off Brookville road & I465 but maybe it came from 21st Amendment @ Fall Creek & 82nd (I have not seen it at any other 21st Amd) though.

    Help me out INGO!

Great. I like Michter's. Now I won't be able to find it. Or it will suddenly cost $100 a bottle.

I don't know if I should cuss you guys or thank you. Until a year ago I was not a whiskey drinker. This thread and my son got me to try some whiskey neat. Since then, I've found some listed on here that I liked and didn't. I'm sitting here sipping on some Baker's Single Barrel that was a gift (nice). Then I'm going to try another gift of Peerless. I know both of these are over 50$ a bottle. So far for under 50$ a bottle I'm a Blade & Bow fan. Keep listing them and I'll keep tasting.

Saw my first bottle of Weller 12 year in the wild last weekend. At a small liquor store in Coronado, CA, locked in a case, priced at $250.

For whatever it's worth, they had Blanton's for the same price.

Also had several bottles of Pappy that I didn't bother asking the price of.

I agree with you. Blantons is a solid $60-65 bottle, but not worth more than the regular retail. I'm not sure why its become semi-difficult to get. Its not good enough to be hard to get.
The domestic supply issue is probably due to the disproportionate amount of the product that they ship overseas. When I visited the BT Distillery last year, the amount of Blantons being prepared for overseas dwarfed that being produced for domestic sales at that time. Was told that their biggest overseas market is Japan. I got "lucky" in that they were stocking the gift store with Blantons when I came out of the tour and was able to pick up 2 bottles.

I recently toured Old 55 Distillery in Newtown, IN. $15 for a tour from the distiller/owner includes a sample shot of 4 different products. This place has a great story, generational family farm, field to bottle, no "heads or tails", and distillery is in the old (remodeled) schoolhouse. Everything was smooth and everyone there enjoyed the taste. The single barrel and corn whiskey were the only 2 products around $50 or less, the one and only sweet corn bourbon was significantly higher at $140/bottle. There was an award winning cask strength (58%), and a newly crafted bourbon made with sorghum as well. Starting to see more of their products on shelves in both IN/KY. It's worth a trip to check out the distillery, or try a bottle before they become more of a secondary market darling.

Had some Eagle Rare 10yr yesterday that was pretty tasty. Thought it wouldve been more pricey than it was but $38 for 750ml I think it was a steal.

I like their American Whiskey. Not enough corn to be a bourbon and not enough rye to be rye. But it is my preferred liquor for Old Fashioned's and the whiskey is very hard to find.

Look for it at kroger. They sell it for $28. If you buy like 6 bottles (you can mix and match) you get 10 or 15% off too.
Eagle Rare is good stuff for a daily drinker.
