I had a blast today with my best .22LR semi-auto handgun:
    - SW 41

1.75" circles @ 30' using Bushnell Red Dot.
    Fiocchi SV
    #1-5 hands on a rest.
#6-10 barrel also on a rest.
    5 rds each target.
1st time NO flyers outside of circles. :rockwoot:
Was it the Fiocchi ammo? (I've gotten 94%-97% before with CCI SV.)
    1st time 100% in all 10 circles/50 rds.

CCI std. vel. in a 41 is more than capable. I would say a more steady hand today rather than ammo. The last 5 targets you pretty much kept all the shots on the numbers.

I commented to Cliff (rangemaster at PK in Greenwood) yesterday that I've read where others using air guns have improved their trigger control & when they go back to their regular guns they are able to improve their groups.
Probably more of just resting the barrel & not just my wrists in my accord.

Took the Browning Buckmark Target 10" to the range by mistake today.
I thought it was one of the air guns.
Fortunately, I had borrowed a couple of a friend's .22LR guns to try out, so I had some .22 ammo with me.
I obviously have it dialed in for 30'.

    Used Aguila standard velocity.

Shot 4 guns at the range today.
The SW SR-22 rifle is on my rifle thread, but the 3 handguns are here:
    - Beretta M9-22
    - SW Victory w/scope
    - Taurus Tracker 990

Only put 21 rds through the Tracker 990 b/c I was distracted with it.
The cylinder was stiff to turn loading
    &
the hammer pull stiff for S/A shooting.
When I returned my friend's SR-22 rifle today, I dropped the Tracker 990 off with him,
    &
he took it apart & "healed" it, haha!

I've owned 4-5 SW Victory pistols,
    &
they have never been an "accuracy" pistol for me, but I like them just the same.
I enjoy the Beretta M9-22 in the same way liked all the 1911-22 pistols for some reason.
I used Remington Golden Bullets HP HV 38 grain since I wasn't trying for "precision" today,:lmfao: haha!
Using "I" & "precision" in the same sentence is an oxymoron anyway!

Beretta M9-22, all 21' with 15 rounds on each of the 4 targets.
Ignore torso. Center was D/A & the top of the circle was S/A using the 990.
It was shooting low D/A but was spot on S/A at top of circle.
    Range 02.09.2022 21&30ft.jpg

    SW Victory w/scope; 21' & 30'.

A glorious day with 4 revolvers.
    Used Remington Golden Bullets.

    I wrote down the Taurus Tracker as a 990 but is really a 970 (difference between a 9 rd & a 7 rd.
Without a scope, the Dan Wesson outshoots the SW 17 & Tracker 970.
The Ruger Hunter SA with a scope is dynamite at 21, 30 & 45".
It was shooting about 1.5"- 2" high at 75' & I had to learn to aim lower.

No range time with it yet but gonna have to have doddg shoot it this week. See if he can outshoot his 41 for a third of the price

The gun should be plenty capable from
Past experiences with them. Couldn’t not get this almost perfect one when I saw it this weekend.

    Ah, another 422
This is either the 2nd or 3rd for you!
I reluctantly sold mine to a member who uses it for matches. :crying:
It is fun with the hobby when an INGO member buys a gun
& I get to put it through the paces at 21' with my 1.75" targets. :rockwoot:
Since it won't have an optic, it won't be able to keep up with the venerable 41 with one.
It should still be able to stay w/i the circles even with my eyes. :dunno:

@zachcz, very nice 422. I bought @doddg's and love it. I have shot it a a couple of steel matches, sights are a bit small but it's a great gun.
Thst was the one i shot first thst put me
On the wild goose chase. I found one fairly cheap but it was beat up pretty good but shot amazing. Then went on a search for a mint one. I did get some extra mags If toure
    In market for more

I have 6 mags. I got some shortly after I bought the 422. I guess S&W runs them periodically.

I'm thinking about some upgrades to mine, it shoots great but I may refinish it since it's not a collectors piece in the shape it's in.

I had a Ruger P89 in an olive green that I enjoyed more than I thought I would
& the guy that bought it from me really liked the olive green as well.
Since I preferred stainless, I was surprised.

The OD looks better than I expected in real life. I'm an Army vet and figured they would come out with an OD sooner or later. I waited a couple of years but Ruger rewarded my patience, glad I got one.

It would definitely be a nice candidate for a refinish. On my old
One I was hoping to cerakote it but decided to sell and go on a wild
Goose chase for a super clean one.

I do like the od green. I’m stuck with the bronze mainly bc it was first one I saw in wild when they came out a couple years ago

Bronze looks good to me, I remember that was the hardest color to get when they first came out because everyone went wild over it. The wood grips on yours are sharp.

They came factory. I was shocked. It was literally first one I had seen after looking for a few weeks after launch. I just happen to be at point blank when they brought it out. Told them to not waste time putting it in case just go ahead and ring me up

Ran an older SW 422 (from around mid 1980s - early 1990s) of Zachcz's at the range today.
We both have had 4" barrels in the past, but he picked up a 6" barrel recently.
I love shooting other's guns, although it comes back to bite me sometimes b/c I have to get one! :dunno:
It was a fun range day shooting 120 rounds of CCI Blazer (38 gr; 1235 FPS; lead round nose).
I had my SW 41 with me but didn't even get it out since it had just been cleaned.
The SW 22A Talo ed shot so well I thought I'd give the 41 a break today. :lmfao:

    3.02.2022 Zach SW 422 at Range.jpg

Also ran a SW Victory (w/scope) & SW 22A Talo edition (w/red dot).
SW 422 only had iron sights, which is why with my eyes, it got edged out.

    30' X ring & 10 ring combined:
1st with all 10 rds = SW 22A Talo ed.
    2nd with 9 rds = SW Victory
    3rd with 8 rds = SW 422

    2nd Place @ 90% = SW Victory
