For me, it's a trainer gun to try and match normal striker fired EDC's, so I like it alot. I'm not trying to shoot little groups on paper with it, but ping steel and practice.

Before this, I used an Advantage Arms kit on one of my Glock frames, then an M&P Compact 22 (which is not striker fired, but internal hammer fired), etc and now the TX22. My favorite for reliability, and mag capacity, and overall feel is the TX22.
Sounds good. Thanks for answering all my questions.

I had an Advantage Arms .22LR Conversion Kit for a Glock 26 a couple of years ago, but it didn't shoot any better than anything else else I had, but it was fun to shoot .22LR from a bulky subcompact.

I've had 3-4 of the SW MP Compact .22LR, in fact, just for fun, I tried to buy the one in the Classifieds here for $325 lately, but I was too late.
They just work & shoot everything, even though the trigger needs improvement but again, not a gun for accuracy.
My first MP Compact was the 1st gun I bought new & had it for longer than I usually keep .22s early in my journey.
Rural King had a tremendous sale like they do sometimes.

I had a Sig 226 with a dedicated .22 slide & magazine that was fun to shoot & also had a Sig 938, my favorite very small .22LR semi-auto for shooting.

I now have a pair of Beretta M9-22 that are replicas of the 9mm version that I enjoy shooting.
I've had one a couple of years ago & wanted to go another round with one, as is my habit.

Testing out the two Beretta M9-22 again today.
I have someone who wants to buy one of them so I need to make a decision & they both take turns beating each other so I am confident they shoot the same but, since I have to make a decision, I'll go with "1st."

Used CCI Blazer 38 grain, SLN, 1235 FPS today.
    I call the two different Berettas: "1st" (1st one I bought) & "Z2" (Zach's, the 2nd one I bought).

    21' using the "1st" Beretta M9-22.
    Range 10.08.2021 21 ft. 1st Blazer on +.jpg

Another of the "1st" at 21' with a fantastic group.
    Range 10.08.2021 21 ft. 1st Blazer.jpg

    Z2 at 21'.
    Range 10.08.2021 21 ft. Zach 2 Blazer.jpg

    All 30'.
Fine group on top right with Z2 with a 4 rd one-hole.
"1st" beat out Z2 on last two rows of 4 circles (1.75").
    1st had a 3 rd one-hole on the right on 2nd row underneath the Z2 4 one-hole.
Range 10.08.2021 30 ft. both using Blazer on +.jpg

    30', 21' & 45' all on one sheet.
Z2 on left side & Torso.
1st on right side & head.
    30' samish groups.
    21' maybe 1st edged out Z2.
    45' 1st tighter on head.

.22 magnum not .22LR, so I'm just sneaking it in here.

Bought this Ruger LCR 22 magnum weeks ago & kept forgetting to take it to the range.
Regretfully sold a SW 351PD 22 magnum years ago & lived to regret it, so I had to fill the gap with this Ruger version.

DAO, light at 15 ozs, just a tool if something light is needed for pocket carry.

Left target shot on a rest.
    Right target shot free hand.
On the right side on the free-hand target there is a round you can't see (unless magnified) under the 12 o'clock one you can see.
My shooting is so bad with this gun that it didn't make a difference whether I was shooting with a rest or not. :dunno:
If I ran a box through, I would improve the scores, but not at today's ammo prices, haha!
    Range 10.29.2021 1st time DAO x2 targets.jpg

About 13 years ago I taught my 12 yr old great niece how to shoot using a Ruger 10\22. I had the gun for over 35 years and put 10's of thousands of rounds through it, I thought the barrel was shot out because the accuracy had dropped off. During the end of our 2nd or 3rd session I told her to put 1 round into the cardboard then put 4 more into the same hole. This is her group from 50 yards with a 4X32 scope off a bench, apparently the gun was fine and I just had gotten old.

Oh, for your daughter's eyes! :fogey:
I would be so elated to shoot that group! :rockwoot:
But, alas, elusive, but I try to blame it on the wind.

    25 small 1" targets with my 10/22 at 50 yds, summer 2020.
Only 2 targets that even comes close to your daughter's groups. :lmfao:

Shot what is turning out to be one of my favorite non-optic .22LR semi-auto:
    - Beretta M9-22
Metal, with hammer, hogue grips, 15 rd mags, what's not to like? haha!

I was surprised that at 21' it was about the same accuracy free hand or on a rest:
    -- x=5 on rest
    -- x=6 free hand

    On a rest

Finally, a day with .22LR revolvers that have been neglected for months.
21' made the ego feel good.
    30' more of reality.
    Red circles are 1.75".

The inexpensive Heritage 16" SAO revolver with fiber optics does well.
The Ruger Single-Six Hunter SS, 7" barrel with a Leopold scope does great.
The Taurus Tracker & SW 17-4 do fine, but I need to trim the safe
    &
don't need them b/c of the Dan Wesson 56oz with an 8" barrel is my absolute keeper.

Dan Wesson 54 oz, 8" barrel w/o red fiber optic that is the ultimate keeper.
In the past, when trimming, I've actually sold all of my .22LR revolvers except this one.

Really nice collection of 22 revolvers. I shoot 22 revolvers far more than centerfire. A 6" 617 is what I shoot the most. Have a Taurus 96 that looks a lot like your 17. Yeah that big Dan Wesson is a keeper!

Added a Ruger Bearcat to my pair of single-sixes last week. Stainless with adjustable sights. Love the look with the wood grips and can't wait to take it to a range to give it a test.

I bought a "New" Bearcat at Point Blank March 2018 totally on impulse b/c it was engraved & the price was right ($375).
It was a real stunner with nature designs (with an animal) on the cylinder & I've always had a weakness for SS with a wood grips.
Awesome getting adjustable sights on yours!

    Three Semi-auto .22LR today.
All on a rest, with the Browning Buckmark Target & SW Victory having scopes.
I didn't notice till the end that the rail getting loose on the Victory, so I think those groups might tighten.
I put some blue loc-tite on the 1 screw that holds the rail on.

On the Browning the POI is low relative to the POA, but the elevation is maxed out so I have to shoot high till I figure out what to do.
Don't know if my elevation "dial" can be reset?
I'd forgotten just what a sweet shooter the Browning Target gun is with the 10" barrel & the extended magazine release is great (should be on all guns!), & it has a Halo ring on it as well.

Used Armscor 38 grain, HV, HP today.

This pic is before I put a scope on it.

    1.75" circles.

The Beretta with no scope makes me choose between seeing the sights clearly & the target fuzzy (30' can be undiscernible) or vice versa.

When target shooting with open sights seeing the sights clearly is most important. The only way I know where sights and the target can both be clear is with some type of aperture device.

you're getting better groups with that buckmark than I thought were possible . I had one and the trigger felt cheap and was unpredictable. You got that one dialed in. What ammo did you use?

Thanks, I usually put the ammo brand/type on the target for my future reference.
I'll go back & write it in my post.

The 7.25" barrel had some fine groups, as well & I was totally happy with it until the 10" Target came along, haha!
