What's everybody favorite BBQ sauce for smoked ribs?
Maybe something different for brisket ?
Looking at the store is a bit overwhelming.
    Thanks for sharing you favorite.

I initially tried Stubb's Original when looking for something with lower sugar. It has become one of my favorites for ribs and brisket.

I want to get a smoker this year but they are expensive and there’s so many different options. Is there a cheaper brand <$500 that is of some quality?

Love my z grill. Got it plus 2 40# bags of pellets and an extended warranty for under $500 @ menards. Has functioned flawlessly to this point.

They offer several sizes and features. I researched online for weeks before opting for this over a comparable pit boss or traeger for a considerable less cost. Couldn't be happier with my decision

I use a Weber Smokey Mountain (18"). You can get one from Lowe's for $419. It's very versatile and does a great job. I'm also able to travel with it, as it's somewhat portable (good for deluxe camping trips or travelling to friends/family).

It was a good learning tool for me, too, as it's little more "manual" than some of the more modern pellet-fed, close-loop controlled smokers (which are great, but can quickly get expensive).

Plenty of online support for this one, too. Online forums for the Smokey Mountain provide a plethora of recipes, mods, and how-to articles.

Once I figured out how to do some decent smoking with dry rubs, the sauces seem to have gone by the wayside.

    All personal preference.
99% of the time, I use dry rubs. Every once in a while, if I'm in the mood for sticky, caramelized sauce I'll use Blue's Hog. It's not something you'll find at major retailers, but sometimes Rural King has is. It is the best bbq sauce I've had. Not thin, good even mix of sweet, tangy, spicy.

For a pellet grill, I think I paid $200 for my little ZGrill, but it was on sale so I'm not sure what the regular price is. I think Menards has a Pit Boss for under $400.

For charcoal a Weber SM, but you can do a lot with just a Weber kettle and a little work sealing it up for $150 -$200. Just about every accessory you can think of is available for these.
