Obama and Hillary Clinton's recommended form of gun control, Australia's mandatory gun buyback from 1996 has been a failure in terms of reducing firearm homicides.

On Friday, Australia announced an amnesty to get more people to agree to voluntary firearm confiscation.

Australia Reveals More Than 250,000 Illegal Guns Exist, Calls for Gun Amnesty

I'm sure they'll get some turned in, but I don't see a large number of guns that were legally purchased and owned before the buyback being turned in. If it is a "no questions asked" amnesty, then they may get some guns have been used in crimes and leave the criminals to offend again.

Wait, Im confused. Hillary said she supports the 2nd Amendment. Why does she want a mandatory gun buyback?

She does believe in the 2nd amendment. She just doesn't believe it means what it says. If only police and the military and of course her body guards could have guns she would be fine with that 2nd amendment.

This seems to be a trend with governments world-wide: if it's worth doing it's worth over-doing and if something is a failure? Rename it and throw more money at the problem.
