Brad,
Do you do any knife trading? I have a few knives (Benchmade, Spyderco, Kershaw, ZT) I was going to bring to the show to maybe trade/sell. All are like new in box.
That happens often with Midway with more than just ammo. Almost every notification I've had from them this year for magazines is sold out by the time I get the email. It's a very popular site, one of the first places many shooters go when they want something.
They have lots of ammo but it's pretty expensive, especially the rifle ammo. 20 rd boxes of American Eagle .223 are $15 and Wolf 7.62x39 are $10. I did buy some 9mm fmj for $18 a box because it's the first I've seen on shelves in a long time. They do have purchase limits of 4 boxes per person.
Prices will remain high as long as people keep buying everything the second it hits the shelves. I do think the demand will slow down gradually, and prices will come down, but it's going to take time. Guns/ammo are expensive, and I don't think average working people can keep buying at this...
I suppose it's possible but I doubt it. I think some of the sellers aren't really interested in selling anything unless they can get some ridiculous high price.
Here's a Saiga with cheap UTG/Tapco/Promag accessories going for over $1200.

Really has me thinking about putting mine on there.
I had a commander model of that same brand with problems. I also had the same experience trying to get it fixed through Gander Mountain (they're useless). BTW, they don't ship it back to the manufacturer, they are a warranty repair center for these guns and just ship them to their gunsmiths...
