Not sure that was well stated. I have heard it said that the US is now the oldest government that has not been restructured of civilized countries. Not sure if that is true but suspect that was the point behind it in some way. The poster is also a bomb thrower on the internet for clicks and to big the left, he is not a scholar in any way.
Umm… Three Year Letterman gets his jollies saying wild stuff and luring in the unsuspecting, then stabbing with a sharp comment like “I don’t read Hamas.”
And his “wild stuff“ often turns out to be true. For example, “country” means various thing like “state,” “nation,” “sovereign state,” “nation state,“ or more simply an area that shares a common characteristic like language, culture, or industry, without reference to government or political boundaries. E.g. Basque country, wine country. But is Basque Country really a “country?” Is Palestine?
In terms of language and culture there are “countries“ that existed prior to the USA, and still exist, but as a country that is sovereign and has the same form of government, the United States of America is in fact one of the oldest, if not the oldest, in the world. Every other “country” has undergone significant, often drastic changes in sovereignty, government, borders, even languages, since 1789.

If it was close to true then Three Year Letterman would have intended to say some thing different.

Well it is close as I have seen. Yep, be cool to get a response but I think he primarily responds to idiots, not sure I want in that group…
