    That is crazy talk.
Try that out loud in front a mirror.

    "Dude"*head nod
    "Bruh"

You just come off as hostile with expectations of them being forced to say something.
I just wanted to welcome them, not interrogate them.

My 10-year-old daughter has taken to calling me "bruh" when I tell her to do something she doesn't like. For example,

Me: "Angelbutt, time to get ready for bed."
Her: "Bruh! I'm not done on my iPad yet!"
Me: "Yes, you are. You're past the time you're allowed to be on it even if your hour isn't up."
Her: "BRUH!" (Then huffing noises, sounds of aggravation and storming off.)

I gave her the nickname "Angelbutt" years ago as it embodies the two distinct sides to her personality. She gets so irritated when I teach at her school and I call her that.

Is that like a glamor mugshot from the jail without the softened lighting and heavy makeup?

It looks like it may be a school, community center, or apartment complex judging by location of the fire alarm and the overhead lighting as reflected in the door window.
