Not a funny pic, but a funny thought...

DeSantis says FL will keep supporting TX. OK, that's all well, and good, but TX itself is missing a huge opportunity here.

    Militia tourism.

"Come to Texas, and do a tour on the border. Protect your country from invasion."

Man, that could have the entire southern border crawling with free manpower.
I can just see the lefties pooping their pants as every redneck in the country jumps in their truck, and heads down there... lol.
Warming up the F-250 and loading out in the morning....

Great idea, but there would need a vetting process. I could see that going downhill fast otherwise.

A few weeks of training as well. At the least rules of engagement, proper engagement, laws, coms, coordination with regular forces, who, what, and ,where, and how long of deployments. Transport practice and joint manoeuvring. A basic course on any tech they would be or could be using(thermal drones as an example). Rules of personal conduct. Crowd/group control. Detaining and transporting practice. Finally marksmanship.

In short if you have all the volunteers in the US show up, most of the time without some training they would be just bodies backing up the people who understood what was going on(trained is needed and much more useful). It is not the hills and hollers out there.

All of that is very true and the right way to do it. It's just my concern would be the people that would want to do it so they can shoot at someone of a different race.

Tell me you’re not a redneck without telling me you’re not a redneck.

No need to make it racist, or even about race.

I can’t help it that the invading force doesn’t look like me. And that’s not why they need to be stopped.
    They’re an invading force.

‘They’ve’ got you right where ‘they’ want you, pulling out the race card.

I’m not disagreeing it would be a mess, and a short term disaster. But we are facing a permanent disaster, so there’s that.

ETA sorry all, literally had no idea where I was at and I have no funny picture for you so… IMG_7161.gif

With all due respect, it's 2024. Everything is about race/gender/sexuality these days. All I was saying is I am concerned about the objectives of some people that would volunteer to do this. We just need people to stop coming here illegally. If some bullets are exchanged to protect our border, then so be it. With they key word being "exchanged". I just don't want to see a racist person to go down there just to kill people because they are of a different race. And sadly, the fact is there are people in this country with that mentality. So it's not a matter of them having me where they want me. Like it or not or even ignore it if you please. This is just the world we live in today.

What track should I be on?
Tack: This term has two distinct meanings, both of them very important. As a verb, to tack is to change direction by turning the bow of the boat through the wind. As a noun, your tack is the course you are on relative to the wind.

The one that leftists love, racism.
