Good thing all of Trump's republican predecessors since Reagan never made mistakes nor were forced to acknowledge any, that makes it much easier to be critical of Trump for his perceived shortcomings, yes?

Its one thing to make them, its another to get Trump supporters to admit them without excuses. Since it was recently brought up, why was draining the swamp left as a reelection gimmick instead of a day 1 priority?

No. We’re talking about Trump’s shortcomings. Those other guys aren’t running for office. If they were we’d be talking about theirs too. It’s not like they didn’t have any. Either way that’s not a reason not to talk about Trump’s.

I'm not a mind reader and I wasn't there, so I can't say for certain

I am critical of others herein who will endlessly go with their opinion of why something was or was not done by Trump, as if they actually knew, and driven mostly on their animosity towards him

And whenever I try to come up with a rational reason why something might have been done a particular way (because I don't feel that Trump can just be dismissed as an idiot, a narcissist grifter yada yada) at best I'm told I'm just speculating or I have to sit through lectures on how 'awktually, if you looked at all sides of the issue ...' [insert Trump or Bug criticism here, or both]

Even your own stipulation 'without excuses' is prejudiced and subjective. When the game stops being a struggle session and players really want to explore possible reasons that don't involve capitulation to their favorite narrative, maybe I'll play

Is it not hypocrisy to have failed to hold other republican presidents accountable for their mistakes but be so insistent that Trump must be? To have held them to a lesser standard when they were president than that which you insist is necessary now. It's almost like it's a tactic instead of a deeply held belief

Failed how? Bush was out of office well before INGO was founded. We haven't had another one to complain about yet.

I guess we need to go back and discuss past Republican presidents and hold them accountable now for their mistakes to even the score when they aren't relevant as a precursor before discussing Trump's mistakes which are relevant because he is running for office again now.

I suppose if the people here daring to criticize Trump never criticized other Republican presidents you would have a point. You state this as if you're quite sure we haven't.

You weren't on INGO when the last Republican president before Trump was in office. Neither was I. So I have to question the rational behind your confidence.

Eh, maybe not quite? I thought INGO was founded 2008? But he was on his way out. And I still haven't quit complaining about that neocon ********er. And now that he's old, he's a woke neocon ********er. If he were in his prime and running again (I mean he kinda is in his fatter pussbaggier version named Chris Christie) I'd pick the porn star ****er over the chamber-o-commerce woke neocon ********er. Bush has the distinction of being the worst Republican president since Nixon.

Yep, you're right. So in time for the election of Obama. Not many left from those days. KG is the closest I see in this thread, and he joined the day Obama was sworn in.

I'm sure no one had anything bad to say about McCain back then, or about Romney in 2012. Everyone here was a good little Republican and gave them full support, I'm sure. Especially before the primaries even began.
