Your probably right I was a teen it seemed nice at the time though. The good old days of Galyans sure as heck were not at Castleton. LOL

It is a uniquely soul crushing area to have to drive through. Maybe not as bad as the eternal bland sprawl of Avon/Plainfield, but a mess nonetheless.I've always hated the Castleton area in general. The roads have no rhyme or reason. It's like some giant just decided to toss a bunch of buildings up in the air and let them land randomly and then built roads around them. I avoid the area at all costs.
The good old days of Galyans, was in Plainfield at the flagship store. What a place…Your probably right I was a teen it seemed nice at the time though.
There was only one galyans and it was in a beautiful building in Plainfield that was torn down to make an AldiYour probably right I was a teen it seemed nice at the time though.
Must be fake news?WTH?
There's a "no weapons" sign right at the door!
nfgMust be fake news?
I remember when rich people from Anderson went to Castleton and poor farmers from Noblesville couldn’t afford it. LOLThe only reason I went to Hassleton in the past was to go to Hobbytown or Costco. Hat was when I lived in Broad Ripple though. Hobbytown is not worth the drive anymore and there is a Costco in Avon.
I’m so old that I remember when Lafayette Square was the jewel of the city and then they built Washington Square waayyyy out in the country. Castleton Square was where the rich people went and we went to look at girls.
Man, times have sure changed….
No, there was also Galyans on the southside, down near where Shelby and 31 come together. There was only one galyans and it was in a beautiful building in Plainfield that was torn down to make an Aldi
I'm pretty sure 465 pre-dated the Castleton mall.Pretty hard to have rhyme and reason when the state puts a huge multi-lane interstate dog leg in the middle of your typical grid pattern that already had the oddity of a major thoroughfare running through it at an angle…
Yep, Castleton is Marion County.hope the culturally vibrant dindu yutes will be freed on no bail so they can get back to finding the cure for cancer...er wait, this wasn't marion county was it
Ok good they'll be back out on the street in no time!Yep, Castleton is Marion County.
Huh... I never saw that when I was going there.WTH?

It did. But that still is why there are all the oddities of the road layout.I'm pretty sure 465 pre-dated the Castleton mall.
You are missing the point, we know there were other locations, there is only one “real” Galyans, the original location in Plainfield was the implication…No, there was also Galyans on the southside, down near where Shelby and 31 come together.
It didn't have to be like that. 465 was a known quantity. They could build the roads however they liked on the properties next to it. I'm not just talking about things like 82nd magically turning into 86th. I'm talking about navigating all the shopping areas nearby. That was poorly planned IMO.It did. But that still is why there are all the oddities of the road layout.
I never went to that one, so I have no frame of reference, but the one on the southside was a great store. Much better than Gander Mountain, Dick's, etc..You are missing the point, we know there were other locations, there is only one “real” Galyans, the original location in Plainfield was the implication…
