Wow what a great qualifying session today. Really looking forward to the Sprint Qualifying Race tomorrow. How bout those McLaren and Hass teams. Hell having 5 different teams in the top 5 positions is amazing in F1. Then throw in Vettel in the Aston Martin P9 and overall 7 different teams in the top 10. Incredible!

More Red Flags than a May Day Parade in Moscow! Still not sure how I feel about the sprints, seems like a good way to wreck your chances for the actual race.

    Go Max!

Pretty interesting race. Had my fingers crossed for Max most of the race and praying his car didn’t let him down again. Red Bull called a pretty good race strategy wise. Felt terrible for both Ferrari drivers, hope they made it out of Imola alive. Lol.
For the Lulu fans I guess it might have been the car, and team orders, that got him all of those championships. When he was winning it was his skills and not the car but when he’s not winning it’s the cars fault. Cmon guys, can’t have it both ways. If he’s not winning he’s whining.
Also thought it was interesting that Herr Toto was apologetic about his car being so awful but didn’t say much, if anything, to George for having pretty good results with essentially the same equipment. Maybe they gave George the wrong car! Lol
    Looking forward to Miami.

I like seeing George doing better than Hamilton. It is time for someone new to take the lead for Mercedes. This new chassis seems to have reset all the teams...well except for HAAS....poor HAAS

I thought HAAS has had a good showing the last few weeks. 2 top 10s, decent qualifying, definitely not the team of last year that finished 20th and 21st in a 20 racer contest.

    Williams though....oh Williams.

Haas has actually done pretty well this year. Last year you could lay odds that they would always be the last place finishers whereas this year they’ve actually finished in the points. They qualify pretty good but have had some issues in the actual races but are doing better. K Mags experience and enthusiasm have helped add a spark to the team too.
Anytime George finishes ahead of Lulu I’m happy.

This is a good interview with K Mags. Viking comeback. It is on YouTube also, but F1 was blocking the link.

Hamilton is a classic head case right now. George is a young and hungry driver with something to prove. Hamilton is trying not to lose. And so George is eating his lunch right now. If this keeps up, Mercedes will be in a hurry to off-load Hamilton as soon as they get a chance.

Just curious, is Hamilton's current contract 1 year or multi-year?

I believe it is for two years.

If George keeps outperforming him, they'll find a way out or will buy him out. I still think he's one of the most, if not THE most talented drivers, but this is a mental test. It will be interesting to see if he can handle it after all those years of it seeming so easy.

No doubt Lulu is a skilled driver but I truly think that most of his success has been because he got in the Mercedes at the right time and team orders. There were so many races that the #2 driver was told to slow down or move over so Lulu could pass. He’s fought with every team mate he’s ever had and is the only one who has a little serf following him around to do the task most other drivers do for themselves. I wonder if she wipes for him after he sits down to pee. If he’s not winning he’s whining. All of his fans have stood staunchly on his winnings have been because of his great skills and not the car but whenever he doesn’t win it’s the car. Hell George was ready to win when he sat in for him one race if not for the “tire confusion” in the pits cost him so much time. Toto had to protect Lulu’s reputation and fragile ego. His arrogance and hypocrisy are astronomical. If he really practiced what he preached he wouldn’t race in numerous countries, or at least give his proceeds to humanitarian programs in those countries, and now he’s pushing for a race in South Africa. He needs to do a little research on what countries really abuse civil liberties and are the most oppressive. I’m sorry for the rant but I’ve watched F1 for decades and have never witnessed anything like him. For sure there have been drivers with massive egos and boisterous personalities but Hamilton is a different animal. Throw in the fact that if you say anything negative about him you’re attacked as a racist and that just makes everything worse IMHO. I hope George does well and I hope the racing between Red Bull and Ferrari continues with the ferocity and sportsmanship it has shown so far and that Haas continues to move forward. Also love the professionalism and more relaxed atmosphere in my the Cool Down Room when Sir Hamilton is absent. I’m so tired of the Woke World and just want to see good racing. Now let me go get my flame suit on…..
