So you can still have sex with people as long as you are married to them?
69 only during the week, Doggy style on Friday, spooning on Saturday, and quarantine to spare bedroom on Sunday to make sure you have no symptoms

Went to my eye doctor yesterday. Signs all over the place saying masks were mandatory. All staff had them on.

Since I didn't realize this was the rule before hand I did not have a mask with me. Nobody said a thing. Well the tech that did all the testing kept having to take her glasses off because they would fog up. Then she would pull the mask down below her nose for a bit.

I told her she didn't need to wear the thing on my account. Looked as if she was ready to remove the mask then maybe worried she would get caught so she left it in place and fought through it.

Sad that she couldn't do her job as well because of the mask. I almost said something to the doc but was distracted by a new procedure I am planning now.

Went to KC to visit our boy kid over the weekend.

Last time we were there was kinda peak 'Rona. The city seemed to have ZERO f**ks to give about masks. This time however, every chick working a hostess stand at a bar or restaurant inside the city limits was enthusiastically enforcing their current mandate.

My kid and his roommate are big into noncompliance. To the point they're almost as obnoxious as the most fervent enforcers.

We went to a small downtown micro-brew joint and they walked in maskless and asked to be seated outside. Hostess was like, do you have masks? Kids were like no, that's why we want to sit outside. She was like, you can't be indoors here without masks. They were like, we wouldn't be standing indoors right now if you'd just seat us outside. She produced two masks and they gave up and put them on. They then walked the three steps to the door to the outdoor dining area and removed them.

About three beers in the boy jumped up to go pee. Two steps inside he was again confronted by the hostess and masked up.

A few minutes later his buddy had to pee. It had turned into a challenge at this point. He waited until he saw the hostess leave her station and made a run for the bathroom. He made it, but she must have spotted him because she was waiting just outside the men's room door when he came out. Again, he was badgered into compliance.

As an old guy, I was really proud I outlasted them in the beers before peeing contest, but I eventually had to go as well. Also as an old guy, I like to show the young bucks a trick or two. I grabbed my beer and said watch this as I marched for the door. I took a sip as I passed the hostess and gave her a smile and a little nod. She returned the gesture with an icy glare. I repeated the process on the way out but gave her a little wink. That time she looked really pi$$ed. But since everybody knows you can't catch or pass the 'Rona when you're actively engaged in eating or drinking, cause that's just science, she held no power over me. :D

I know a kid that wore a half face respirator to school as a joke recently. He was forced to remove it and put on a surgical mask. Joke or not he was forced to remove the mask that would actually protect him.

Respirators have a one way valve so they protect the wearer but not others (like surgical masks do).
I know some hospitals, and airlines, banned masks with a valve (like some N95 masks, or half face respirators) for that reason.
Unless you also wore a surgical mask on top of the N95 to filter the air coming out the valve.

That is still idiotic. I'm not sure if I have to say this slower, or what. Masks. Do. Not. Work. It's been proven. They were only thought useful when it was thought that the virus was only transmitted via bodily fluids. Once it was known that the virus is airborne, mask don't and can't do a thing. The size of the virus is far too small to be blocked by the weave of a cloth mask. Even hospital masks do nothing. The analogy I've heard used that helps visualize this is that using a mask to stop the virus is like using a chain link fence to stop mosquitos. This is the actual science. Mask mandates are nothing more than governmental control. It helps identify those who are too stupid to look up stuff for themselves. Even Saint Fauci himself said that the masks are good for nothing more than virtue signaling. People need to wake the F up about this :poop:

Negative on that being the reason. Lots of kids and teachers are wearing cloth masks with built in valves that are still wearing them. It was removed because they said it’s a distraction.

I’m gonna second the “that is idiotic” but from a totally different angle.

From my wife being a kindergarten teacher, I do believe that masks work to stop the spread of germs. Much less sickness in the classroom when masks worn, right now with no mandate, no guidance, kids who voluntarily mask (parents guidance) aren’t getting sick but others are, just a cold bug going around not covid.

So, the idea from the mask camp that everyone should wear one is that the germs are deflected, and a layer of hygiene obedience is followed.

With a half mask, the germs are still deflected, and some are probably caught. You might say “probably some caught” is not good enough but the reason masks don’t work is because adults don’t use them right, and I guarantee you the stupid cloth or paper masks don’t do what you think they do against the covid bug.

The bug is in the air. Wear a mask to protect yourself. You should really want that thing to seal.

But, it’s just like the “vaccine”, I have to get mine to protect you. Idiotic.

Not all respirator masks have the one-way valve, in fact the vast majority of the respirator masks in use here do not have any valves. This includes the most popular masks from 3M, the 1860, 1860S, 1870, 1804 and 1804S.

My moldex 7000 and similar and whatever Menards was selling that has 2 cartridges have a valve. I thought most anything that had two replaceable filters would have a valve.

Yes, most of the canister masks have valves but many, many more of the simpler respirator masks are produced and sold than the canister type. 3M makes over 95 Million N95 masks per month such as this 3M 8200 N95 Respirator mask. They have a foam seal that fits to the face and when you inhale you can feel the respirator tighten the seal to your face.
These are much, much better than the loose masks that Karen wears.
