    Sunburns aren't contagious.

As vaccination rates go up, R value goes down. I care about people not dying, especially those who are not yet eligible for a vaccine or have a medical condition that prevents them from getting it at this point.

    I appreciate your sincerity.

Nevertheless, I am amazed at how folks get sucked into the propaganda.

I can understand why the initial recommendation was yes as a sort of standard practice/cautionary measure. It's looking now like a previously infected person does not need the vaccine right away to me. If I'd had COVID, I probably still would have taken the vaccine when I was eligible out of an abundance of caution.

I look forward to seeing how long natural immunity from infection lasts compared to vaccination.

ETA: What I think you are getting at...yes, natural immunity from infection should also drive down R value.

I mean. No offense intended but I may vomit a little. I’m very glad that so many people want to be in a healthcare profession. Everyone needs healthcare sometime. But I guess it grates my personality to venerate a whole class of people. Are some in the profession heroes? Yeah. Sure. Are they all heroes? No. Are they mostly heroes? No. They do their jobs just like plumbers, mechanics, or whatever. Some do it heroically.

That’s what I was getting at, but since you brought it up, abundance of caution is fine when it’s your own choice and your own consequences. It can be downright oppressive when you impose it on other people, even if only through social pressure.

When it comes to other people “abundance of caution” is not precise enough. We’ve imposed masks on people when, turns out, they’re not all that effective, out of an abundance of caution. We shut down entire economies out if an abundance of caution. And now we’re applying social pressure to make lives oppressive to people who chose not to be vaccinated. People can lose their livelihoods because of the social pressure, and our CEO even used these words, “out of an abundance of caution.” What can’t be justified with that?

Unless they provide proof that this actually happened I’m not going to think anything of it. Anyone can make any claim. Why should I believe this one?
I'm really interested in how this plays out over the next few months. Regardless its w nice balance to "You Can't go to Work and provide for yourself and family unless unless you get a shot"
Greg Hunter had a guess interview the other day that got into some of this. Some about the mrna vaccines producing the same effects as the virus.

I did a search around the interseine looking for info on the dementia / cognitive effects of the bank bug. There's a bunch of information available from various institutions.
This is quite an interesting video, and I was unaware of the website. I think discussion of the video could be its own thread. I'd love to hear discussion and debate on it.

    What a surprise.........

"Last month, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) decided to no longer count coronavirus cases among fully vaccinated people, unless the cases result in hospitalization or death, according to a report by Bloomberg.

While the CDC claimed the shift in its counting strategy was meant to maximize the quality of data collected, experts warned that the move could lead to missed patterns in who gets sick after receiving a vaccine against the Wuhan virus."

Yeah I heard this a while back, it doesn't make sense to me either.
Seems like you would want to know if a large portion of vaccinated people started testing positive, they're saying it doesn't matter as long as it doesn't lead to hospitalization.

That's right up there with, if it saves just ONE life.
It would be interesting to see how many employers of INGO members have heard such policies being justified with "out of an abundance of caution". I've heard a few CEO's say that. I think Jeff Zuckerberg use that phrasing at CNN. My employer said the same thing.

Doctor still trusts the vaccine! Says good thing he came to us to fix a life threatening condition we support. Wow, job security?
I had a similar reaction to Erythromycin. Turns out I have a sulfa allergy. Didn't kill me, but there was minute or two I kinda wanted to die. Like having the worst case of poison ivy you can imagine, X10, from head to toe.

I still trust Erythromycin to do what it was intended to do, I just can't take it.

Thing with such reactions is you just don't know you'll have one until you have one. :dunno:
