So found out today after agreeing to partake in gathering in the Mountains this weekend. MIL informs my wife let your husband know his service weapon will not be allowed at the condo I booked! The only reason I initially agreed was my wife wanted to see her sister and nieces. So looks like I have three options:

1 Put on my captain ***hat and not go.

2 Book a room elsewhere for the 3 nights

3 travel as I normally would, noting that I emailed the management company explained my situation and was advised the no firearms rule is not an absolute hard and fast rule. I do believe in the property owners rights and would have ultimately elected not to stay there if it was in fact a hard line rule.

MIL has belief that her opinion and beliefs over rule others rights! I am absolutely sure this was done intentionally in her classic passive aggressive fashion.

    Thoughts?

    Concealed means concealed.

I agree what you keep in your pants shouldn’t be any concern of hers!!

Back to the OP - that’s crazy that she made it a point to say that...

I have a MIL that has those tendencies too!

That is one way to put it lol. She does not like me, hates Men, and Believes no one needs a gun.

So I check a lot of the boxes on her hate list.

Kind of my thoughts that is why I checked for clarification on their policy. With rights come responsibilities, if it was a hard line I would have abstained from staying there, with full disclosure on why I elected to make other arrangements.

Oh trust me off time it’s my Milt Sparks which disappears inside the waist band and with the Aluminum frame you do not even notice it’s there. Have carried it before around observant people and they had no idea, plus I usually do not wear shorts so the P365 goes along in an ankle holster.

You were clearly blindsided. I recommend explaining to your wife that she can do whatever she likes but you are NOT going. Life is too short to put up with this **** out of someone who did it at minimum knowingly and quite likely deliberately.

There is no reason for you to put up with something apparently done as a kick in the nuts. It may seem harsh to put your wife in a situation in which she may perceive herself being caught in the middle but there is no reason for you to have to tolerate a bitch who needs an attitude adjustment.

Further, my guess is that time spent with someone like MIL will be in close competition with getting your fingernails pried up.
