I ran errands around Btown yesterday. Two farm stores, a greenhouse and a Kroger.

I ran around with my gaiter only around my neck. Was pleased to see more and more folks not wearing masks.

Kroger had the most mask wearers, but I didn't run into any Karen's (or Kirks ;))

Similar deal today at Walmart and Menards, while seeking garden plants. A fair amount of folks ignoring the local mask mandate.

Happily, store employees didn't seem to be mask police. The employees I spoke with, along with a few other patrons, seemed quite happy to see and speak with a smiling face.

How can it be 10:38 and you've had no coffee? Do you start work at 10:37? When I was flying to Philly each week to start work for my customer at the time, I was up by 3:30 out the door by 4 to catch a 5:50 flight and I would brew 2 10oz cups, one to drink immediately and one for a travel mug for the drive to the airport

Caffeine is not for amateurs or dilettantes :p

    Hi, Jetta
Ummm... I had an errand to run, and yeah, first coffee was later than normal... but not much later.

Yes, I will say it is up to everyone to protect themselves. No one is required to protect others, not even the police are required to protect others.

And then you changed it up away from protection and got into behaviors that put others at risk. There is a difference there.
Not during a pandemic, you have a duty to your fellow citizens. "I can do whatever I wants" side lost this argument long ago in pandemics. I know it is inconvenient for you. You may have no desire to do it. I get it.

However, you have a duty not to be reckless. You should respect the rights of others and not be reckless. This applies to you behind the wheel, at the firing line and during a pandemic.

I'm pretty sure Kirk wants YOU to mask up because it makes HIM feel safe, not because he's all that worried about your health or liberty
I think Kirk wants you to wear a mask when appropriate because it is the responsible and legal thing to do rather than not wearing a mask being some sort of political (what section is this thread in again?) statement of protest which it has turned into.

But what does Kirk know, I mean, he won't even believe a phony study that is widely accepted by the Center Right internet looking to score political points? Kirk and his science, reason and logic, pfffft, that'll never fly on INGO.

BS - there is a difference between protecting oneself and being reckless.

You seem to be implying that I am being reckless and not respecting the rights of others. You are wrong. I drive properly, I am very safe at the firing line and I don't spread disease.

The basic premise behind masks, and all other alterations to normal life, is flawed.

All of the arguments are based on the assumption that this corona virus is a horrible, lethal, disease.

This premise is flawed. The more time that passes, the more this assumption is not holding up. This virus is not worse than any other seasonal virus.

I believe this is referred to as a logical fallacy.

It is a pandemic. Everyone is assumed infectious and you calculate risk from there.

We are almost through this. There is no reason to screw this up because someone wants to make a political statement.

This is all a political agenda Kirk.
Yes it is a serious flu.
    Yes people are getting sick.
Yes people are dying from it but at what rate.
Yes I have had it. I fit the demographic that suffers the most when dealing with it.
I aint dead and know Soooooooooo many others that are not dead from it as well.

Show me the bodies peoples. You will never convince me otherwise.
And it s not my responsibility to protect you.....or you.....or you over there. Protect your damned self OK. This **** has ruined our country, opened the door for those moron Puppets in the big house and stolen a year from my life. A year I did not have to loose.
    It needs to end. Now.
We all know the death from Covid numbers have been grotesquely , intentionally inflated to both, rake in more federal monies, and, further control The People. The feds want everyone to rely heavily on the central government since that enables them to more easily control us.

Covid-19 is a horrible, lethal disease. Leaving aside those who survived with long-term or chronic consequences, 3 million have died worldwide and 571,000 have died in the USA so far. Good grief, what is your standard for horrible and lethal if not Covid-19?

The premise is not flawed. The lunatic notion that the disease is fake or "just a cold" that is spread among the political Right is flawed. People like Ted Nugent vomit this nonsense back up and who knows how many they killed with this brain worm-infested notion of disease.
