Yes. Indeed. I think the country is gonna be much worse off in 4 years than it is now, overall. We'll functionally have fewer rights, higher debt, greater unemployment, higher taxes, way more insane social justice.

That doesn't mean I can't make a few bucks on the stock market investing in the things that Biden will help along. Like Green energy. Investing in it isn't an endorsement. It's just recognizing the high potential for that market to gain. My post was only about the market increase, not anything else.

I think it's unwise to make investments that work against your or what you view as the countries interests. Maybe doing so isn't effecting said interests directly, but at the end of the day propping up the green industry with your money generally serves to perpetuate green policies, which by your post history I understood you viewed as antithetical to our interests. If you had lived in 30s Germany would you had invested in companies building the Nazi war machine because you knew you could make money. Excuse the somewhat hyperbolic analogy to illustrate a point.

As I ponder the executive orders I can least understand the ability of Biden to cancel the pipeline permit. Does this mean the company(s) that have made capital investments are simply now going to lose whatever monies they’ve invested in development so far ?

It would certainly seem foolish for a company to start a long term project without assurances the permits necessary to continue through to completion wouldn’t be revoked at the whim of the next political administration. Perhaps the company(s) felt their contractual arrangements were solid enough they wouldn’t have to worry.

Is it remotely possible this may end up in multiple lawsuits with the taxpayer footing the bill for the government lawyers ?

I wonder that too. Other thing is, I thought the left loved the environment. However, shutting a pipeline, which is the safest means of transporting petrol, seems to be the exact opposite. Ship, trains, trucks are all very mechanical things that at the very least, not only have the possibilities of leaks, but also the added probability of wrecks. They also result in higher emissions due to that type of transportation.

That is why he can support Biden. A public servant with half a century of service to the American people. Whose own VP called him out for supporting segregation in schools. Who helped author the 1994 Crime Bill which helped propel the incarceration rates for People of Color. Who partook in the "high tech lynching" of Justice Thomas during his confirmation hearings. Duly noted. I guess there's a balance to be struck; not all "green" energy companies are pushing policies that work to undermine our interests, though I'm guessing many or most that are large enough to invest in do. If we're short sighted enough to help build an industry, and thus an ideology, seeking to transfer American wealth to third world countries under the guise of saving the planet because we want to make some extra money, or be able to live off the grid, I think we need to wake up. And come on, I didn't call anyone a Nazi for how they invest, and specifically stated I was using hyperbole for illustrative purposes only.

What I heard him say would have left a Klansmen or a Nazi offended AF. He simply acknowledged that not everyone who opposed the destruction of historic statues are participants in hate groups.
