WOW.....that looks like a great score ! :yesway: .....and you're fortunate to have such a thoughtful wife.

Yes, I do. And it's better than the getting a can opener. That's what she went in there to get in the first place.

I have a buddy who has about 20 eco-drives. He gets them all at Kohl's when they go on clearance. Every time I've been in there, they don't have any. I asked him how he finds them. He said it's easy, I stop 2-3 times a week on my way home from work. I said, you can have them. If I go there twice a year, it's too much for me.

Citizen Eco Drive Titanium. Not only does it keep time, it is lightweight, the metal band has a lock so it doesn't come loose when snagged and no batteries or winding. I've had mine for about 18 years and wear it daily. If it ever goes TU, I'll buy another.

Haven't worn a watch since I got my first cell phone..
Last quality watch WAS an Elgin, Sold them to John Tan = Little John in Louisville..
Went to School with him @ Jeffersonville High School..
Since I retired I no longer care what time it is..

I'm guessing that the new generation doesn't either, They are always late to work or don't show up at all..

Having been an aircraft pilot in a prior life, a wris****ch was an important accessory. Old habits are hard to break.

After wearing my Fitbit for almost a year, I was sold on smart watch “proof of concept”. Finally pulled the trigger on an Apple Watch Series 4.

I'd buy a watch that could tell me what my blood sugar is without being poked..
I figured this would happen eventually with a laser or some type of camera device & could even be used with a insulin pump via blue tooth.
It was an idea I thought up a while back.

    I've had diabetes for 41 years now.. I'm 53..

This is still my watch. I don't wear it much since I haven't had a job interview or a temp work assignment in a while. I have confirmed that I prefer annoying other people by asking them to report the current time to me.

I like to do that while wearing a watch, it's even more annoying to people.

Dang it, now I'm have trouble keeping this trusty old girl on my wrist. I broke a pin and had a local shop replace it. Their pin worked for a bit, but now keeps letting loose.

There seems to be some damage to the synthetic on end link of this "titanium" band. I also wonder if the shop used a pin that was on the too short side? New bands are $175. :n00b:

Anyone have links to DYI watch repair sites, forums, etc?

:rockwoot:Yeah! Got it back together with factory parts at reasonable pricing. eBay searches finally turned up the parts. Also found this link from one of the watch part sellers on eBay:

    http://wris****cher.com/casio-watch-parts

Parts are cheaper on the website. We'll see how quick they get me my order for another plastic watch band end cap.

I'm pumped, having my new "old" watch back on my wrist. Props to the older yet Casio Pro Trek that filled the gap wile the Pathfinder was broken. It still runs fine also, the dedicated rough work watch...
