At some point I'll probably talk to my liberal hispanic niece, and my liberal BIL and SIL about it. My niece will probably pretend to be tolerant about it, but inside she's really not okay with it. My BIL and SIL will be quite vocal about it.

My family has been politically divided for awhile now. I thought that it was me that caused it, but after reading so many comments on the liberal sites, I now realize it was the liberals in the family that removed me from their lives. It is sad that we can't discuss politics. It is sad that I have to watch what I say around the family liberals. I hope that eventually this division will pass.

You may be correct. Sometimes the young skulls full of mush remain so throughout their adult life. This is why we have a divided country and the total popular vote was close to parity.

When someone has no means of articulating what's wrong with a candidate besides shouting racist and sexist without being able to even provide sound reasoning for those statements, it's considerably different. Had Trump come out and said he was going to implement segregation, and that he would take away women's right to vote, they would have just cause to be throwing a fit. But he hasn't, nor has his history suggested such a view, in fact it has demonstrated just the opposite and a lot of views that actually align with many on the left.

All of the lever pulling Dems in my family have gone to meet their maker. They always started the political disputes.

I think many of those scared Democrats are just scared because they never heard from Trump direcly.
I asked some of them if they watched any of their speeches, they all said they haven't and they couldn't stand the guy.

So all they heard was what Clinton told them Trump said ... and we all know she's known for lying.
I watched many speeches both from Clinton and from Trump, I actually think it's smart to hear what your adversary is seing.

I did hear him mention a few times the LGBT community especially after the shooting in Orlando.
He said he wished some of those victims have been armed ... so that's a pretty pro-LGBT point of you.
And I heard Clinton many times say Trump was homophobic ... without providing any quotes.

That's what she did to get the LGBT votes (and others), make them think Trump didn't like them.
I also heard her say Trump had no respect for the vets and the military, when in many speeches I heard Trump say "the vets are our best people, they don't get enough, the VA is broken" etc.

I saw videos of gay people reacting to Trump elections like they were going to end up in camps.
I don't think Trump is even against same sex marriage, and if he was he couldn't change it.

That was Clinton strategy to get the votes from the minorities.
Tell the blacks and hispanics that Trump was racist, tell LGBT people that he was homophobic, tell the women he was sexist.

If you listen to only Clinton then Trump is the worst person ever.
If you look by yourself at what he has done in the past, and what he's saying ,then he called some women fat 20 years ago and sometimes said things that weren't very nice to others.

The more responses I see from the left the more it resembles a cult with HRC at the top. This is what I find the most disturbing. They yearn for someone to take over their lives, provide them a false sense of security, food, clothing and shelter so they won't ever have to worry about anything but finding the next new term like "cultural appropriation" which they can use to feel victimized by proxy.

As much as I don't want it for my children, I'm almost convinced that nothing will get better until people start going hungry. When you haven't eaten in days a person'a priorities begin to change and a realization will occur.

A friend of mine posted this on Facebook Friday after she tried to call Pence's office to express her butt hurt.

.I tried to call Governor Pence's office today. I got a recording telling me to call back during normal business hours. Huh? It was normal business hours when I called. My question to him would have been this. Why, as an Indiana taxpayer, should I be paying his salary when he is working for Trump, not Indiana? He claims to be a Christian, yet apparently believes stealing from Indiana taxpayers is fine. When I worked for the State, I was expected to do work for the State to receive my salary, instead of working for someone else and getting paid by the State.

My reply along with similar others shaming her lack of respect for Veterans.

Government offices close on Veterans Day to honor Veterans as they have done for decades.
