The political need is for a reliably conservative party, not a party between the communist and scocialist outcomes that occur when republicans govern to the whims of the most liberal.

I have to assume that you were addressing this in part to me as well as others because I said the word "boobage" I was more talking about Padma Lakshmi because the pic that was posted was of her. She's attractive but I wouldn't vote for her if she were running for political office based on that any more than I would vote for Tulsi Gabbard for that reason.

You act like that was the only thing that was discussed. It was a brief sidetrack not started by me that I commented on and i identified it as a sidetrack. I've posted plenty about the relevant political issues concerning Tulsi Gabbard and her position on a number of topics in this thread that had nothing to do with her looks. Perhaps you missed those.

I don't think anyone in this thread has seriously suggested that they would vote for her or would potentially give her a pass based on looks alone.

For me personally it's not about superficial looks. She has to further earn that trust in deeds not just looks and words for me to even begin to consider supporting her in any capacity. I'm not even close to being there right now.

I've repeatedly said that I want to see more action on her part. (not talking about physical attributes)

There is and has been virtually no substance to Tulsi so far, but she has captured the attention of conservative males with her looks and a couple of snappy replies in debates.

I would normally find a bunch of old men drooling over her funny if the political stakes for the heart of our country were not so high…

Well, I don't think she is gonna join the Republican party. I certainly wouldn't vote for her, however, if Trump or DeSantis chose her as their running mate would I vote for them? Absolutely! OMG, the Democrats would go insane.

As would I, I would prefer a better conservative on the ticket but to get the leader I want I will take whatever baggage we must deal with.

We're talking voters, and your answer doesn't address the question posed. I didn't expect any answer to satisfy you in the slightest because you'd have to confront that reasonable minds can differ on where the line is drawn on some given topic.

Not all voters agree with everything their party, and the most extreme party members, campaign on. A 3rd party drawn from moderates from both major parties is unlikely to draw support from the uber-political of INGO any more than it is to draw support from Bernie Bros. That's not the target audience.

So just who are the most extreme republicans and what are their views? I believe far fewer republican voters are dissatisfied because they are too far right than are unhappy they are too far left.

The republicans are the moderate party, but with the full on demonization by the cultural arbiters they seem extreme.
