The ethical skeptic is a good follow over on twitter. Many of his charts are over my head but this one puts the government’s covid response in a vivid light. The last (almost) 3 years has shown that if we can scare enough people sufficiently, we can get them to do almost anything and attack their neighbors, brothers, and sisters.

We’ve learned nothing (good) from history.

inlaws had the C 3 weeks ago. Both vax'd and boosted per the requirements of their other children to see the grandkids. Took Paxlovid to "lessen the severity" of their mild flu symtoms. Had to cancel christmas with us and the bil (who required all of these measures) because they have it again. Wife told her mom 3 weeks ago to not take that **** because it'll be back again. When she called her yesterday she was met with "I know, you and Bob were right." I hope all those "safety"measures were worth missing christmas with the grandkids.
