Traveling Man's Gun Arrest Appealed to Supreme Court - FoxNews.com
This fella was coming from Utah and going to Pennsylvania, his stopover in New Jersey became a problem when the plane coming in was late and he missed his connection. Through a series of airport/plane blunders he found himself stuck in NJ overnight with a gun he had checked in his luggage. When he went to check in for his new flight in the morning, he was arrested and his gun confiscated. The NJ/NY port authority held his weapon and ammo for 3 years and he is in the process of suing. It's going all the way to the Supreme Court.
This is extremely frustrating. You know those movies where everything conspires against you (I hate them)? This is that. It's just ridiculous that common sense doesn't ever come into play on these things. Basically his case keeps getting thrown out because "Well, you can't sue the police". Which is BS.
