It is beyond incredulous that it was “his” government. If it was “his”; why did it attack him?

I know no one that thought that the CDC would not protect Americans in the face of an actual medical/science disaster even with their track record of politicization.
He "kept" Obama's "govenrment" and failed President 101... replace all political appointees day 1.

He ineptly kept them... they are his.

Then spell it out. What he said doesn't matter. What he did doesn't matter. What does other than your feelings about him?

He talked a good game on the 2A, until he didn't. Red flag laws, raising the age to buy a gun to 21, bump stock EO, pushing Congress to pass new anti-guns laws(which thankfully they didn't). Why should we believe that he would sign a new anti-gun law if there is another mass murder when he is President?
IMO, he absolutely would... in his first term, he showed the propensity to do so and was only reined in by re-election math (lose the gun-vote and he loses).

In a second term, no such reins. He'd sell us out in a second for ego-preening news coverage of "historic" gun control.

    IN A SECOND he would!

    Yup...

Then he's a ******* moron! And... didn't believe his own stump speeches he gave prior to 2016 election.

Ummmm.... he didn't even do the every first step, the one that every modern President does, President 101 of replacing all Senate-confirmed department heads and deputies.

I'll stick with he's a moron, not that this particular step required 5D chess moves.

Choose the guy who took 4 years to figure out that the people hand-picked and nominated by Obama would lead the #Resistance?

Nah, that's the opposite of choosing wisely.

He "kept" Obama's "govenrment" and failed President 101... replace all political appointees day 1.

Don’t you just know it all. When your bedfellows are the NYT, CNN, PMSNBC, and even Salon you definitely have conservatives at the forefront of your thinking.

Prez 101… nominate and appoint your own political appointees.

Not “know it all”, it’s know the first thing… which Trump did not.

Not some deep, mysterious, shadowy thing… keep all of Obama’s appointees and they will continue doing Obama-stuff.

    That’s stupid, not wise!

Since you're a mind reader and know what Trump is going to do, tell us what everyone else is planning.
Maybe you could hire yourself out and tell the Fed's who'll be the next school shooter

When Trump was elected he wanted to be the outsider that pulled both sides together. He was trying to be a uniter, obviously uniting did not happen…
So in four years, he couldn't figure out that keeping political enemies in power on his team might not work? You'd think a 7d chess player would figure that out a few weeks in. Needs more warp speed.

"Look, look; here comes Trump [LG] to get Biden elected [cry 'wolf' again] …you know, just like he did last time”

Fixy your 'FTFY', funny how the people who want Biden or some other Marxist tool elected president next time are always warning us about how running Trump will do exactly that - hence 'crying wolf'

Seems like if what we are doing would give you what you desire most that you would 'never interrupt your opponent while he is making a mistake'

Seems more like even Bidenites are beginning to believe Trump will crush whoever they run against him

Cue the concern trolling about how you 'just want to save us from ourselves' or something

Funny how the fact he was already being framed by the FBI even before he took office is given such short shrift as an explanation for why he might move cautiously - especially since the breadth of the conspiracy that we know now was unknown to him at the time

I guess it's because your mental charicature of Trump just won't allow you to visualize him as acting in any other way than reckless and headstrong

Do you think he could have fired Comey on day one and survived the fallout? You should know by now how much of the tradGOP was working against him as well as the Democrats. Without his people in place and a deep bench to draw from, do you think it would have created LESS chaos to fire just about everybody and then try to run the country while your likely picks were being slow-walked through confirmation or stalled all together?

Consider a moment what happened to Michael Flynn, one of his most talented picks from the pool available to him. Do you not think that was engineered not only to remove a person the deep state found threatening and capable but as an object lesson to others to reconsider working in a Trump administration? Knowing only what Trump could know at that time, would you want to determine the size and nature of the threat to your administration or blindly add to the chaos

You don't want a president, you want a modern day Moses while at the same time doubting God and being unwilling to follow any direction that person would attempt to lead you

I don't understand why neverTrump thinks that if they get DeSantis, or really anyone not a tame, deep state approved candidate like Haley apparently will be, that the same machinery will not be turned against such a lesser candidate. 3 inch boot lifts won't get you out of that, and a candidate weak enough to believe it is his appearance and not his ideas that keep people from supporting him will just make things worse for America First because country club republicans are trying just as hard as democrats to kill it

Oh, stop with the histrionics, dude...nobody in this conversation is a Bidenite, ffs.

Trump already lost to Biden once, and that was before Jan6 and RvW, both of which are issues that motivate center and center-left voters…the exact voters Trump needs to stay home on Election Day.

These same voters have plenty of issues with Biden, and many would vote against him if they had a choice other than Trump.

I think getting a chamber of commerce Republican elected does more for MAGA than getting Biden re-elected, and I think the best chance biden has for re-election is against Trump.

Survived the fallout? He didn't anyway.
