An American joining the ranks of the of the Royals? That's pretty big news.

The thing not to get isn't just that this is pretty big news, but that "Royals" is still a word in common use.

They're all just people. They may sit on fancier toilets but they all have to **** on their own.

    .
I've never understood how organizations like big media that are so obsessed with equality here in the states always swoon over royals. They even try to create American versions of them like the Kennedys. It must be why they see themselves in the same position as the Catholic church of medieval europe, attached to the aristocracy and the ultimate interpreters of good and evil.

Because some people here seem to adore the man... The NYT ran a character assassination piece on Jordan Peterson.

Jordan Peterson, Custodian of the Patriarchy

Archive link, so as not to give NYT clicks.

    Bla Bla Bla

I couldn't read the whole thing.

The article was clearly constructed to create a false narrative. Peterson doesn't tend to speak in sound bites, so without context it's easy to pick one or two sentences and frame him as misogynistic, conservative, whatever.

After reading his book, I can say with certainty this did not arrise from a chronological conversation. It's as if the writer spent two days writing down everything Peterson said, stuck the notes in a blender, mixed them up for a few moments and then dumped them onto the page in the order in which they tumbled out.

Clearly a hatchet job to push a narrative.

Usually how hit-pieces tend to happen... like the WSJ attack on Felix Kjellberg. Just take a bunch of quotes and clips out of context and present it as some super-scary expose.

    Of course.
    You must "toe the line".
