What is disingenuous is to claim the tyrannical son of a ***** liberated a single slave.

I mean. He didn’t unhook their chains personally. But he orchestrated the end of slavery. The 13th amendment ended slavery in the US. The emancipation proclamation freed slaves in territories in active rebellion.

About 90K blacks who fled their Confederate captors joined the fight against the confederacy. But, the proclamation was obviously contingent on a Northern victory. If the North had lost, no doubt the Confederates would have demanded their property back. Yeah, I said it that way because that’s how Confederates viewed the slaves.

If the Republicans had any balls they would go ahead and pass a big reparations bill including a special tax on tech companies, entertainment conglomerates, and sports franchises to pay for it. Let the Democrats in the Senate explain why that is a bad idea.

I don't think god has boobs. I'm guessing there's not really anything dangling?

I also doubt god has purple hair. Pretty sure he wouldn't be gender fluid, or trans. How inclusive can you make god? If they can't make god in every possible gender, then I guess they'll make him non-gendered. Dang it. I said "him". Is it they/them?

WASHINGTON, D.C. (February 9, 2023) - Texas Governor Greg Abbott has just told state agencies - including state universities - to stop considering diversity in hiring.

In a formal legal memo written Monday, Abbott’s chief of staff Gardner Pate told agency leaders that using diversity, equity and inclusion [DEI] policies in hiring violates federal and state employment laws.

Pate said DEI initiatives illegally discriminate against certain demographic groups — though he did not specify which ones he was talking about.

“The innocuous sounding notion of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) has been manipulated to push policies that expressly favor some demographic groups to the detriment of others,” Pate wrote.

This presumably would put an end to the policies at Texas Tech University which were highlighted and criticized by public interest law professor John Banzhaf.
