    True story:
Back in the late 70s I went to a Trek convention and Grace Lee Whitney was there. I remembered the episode "Miri" where she tried to get Kirk to look at her legs while hiding a lesion from the disease they were fighting. I asked to touch her leg there, and she let me.

After I graduated from Indiana University with an Air Force commission, I had to wait until September to actually enter active duty. So just like the previous 16 years, I had the summer “off*”.

But on September 20 I happily trotted off to Tinker AFB and started twiddling bits to kill commies. I distinctly recall the next June when it felt a little weird and disappointing not to be “off” for the summer again.

    * I had summer jobs, but they didn’t feel anywhere near as compulsory as school.

    Another true Story:
Not a Trek Convention, but a Muscular Dystrophy Association celebrity tennis event, mid '80s or so. I had done many such celebrity events with the promoter I was working with.
I ran a sound reinforcement company, used a smart money man to keep things going. He kept me in gigs when the season was dwindling down.

Loads of people and at that point in my life I was well past being shy or overwhelmed with celebrity.
Then one day, I met Marina Sirtis. This was in Texas and the series had just begun and it seemed no one cared about Star Trek around that time, around Paris, Texas.

I told her I had seen every episode. She said, "OH, you know who I am!!" Turned and gave me huge, long full body hug, one leg wrapped around mine.

Now I said I was immune to celebrity, but not so much being grabbed and hugged out of the blue by a woman who looked like that.
I can not say what shades of red I turned as I began to boil over, trying to find words for a coherent response.

    MAN!!

New John Wick film idea, he is in an office when suddenly attacked by a dozen guys armed with machine guns and samurai swords. Quickly grabbing a handy IBM keyboard and a pencil...

That one does look just like mine though.

He is a man of focus.

He killed three men in an office.
    With a KEYBOARD.

    Who does that?
