I think that I need to pick up PCR one of these days. That would scratch an itch quite well right now.

A new gun is always alluring. Being in a financial position of not having fun money set aside for the occasion leads me naturally to looking in the gun room for stuff to sell. That leads to fondling what I already possess. And then I find myself realizing all of my bases are covered and I'm quite fond of what I already have.

Tonight I was bored and began looking at ammo and reloading supplies. And realized I haven't made any hand loads since November. And I have some factory ammo in a different weight bullet I haven't tested in my 6.5 CM rifle either (Norma 143gr). The handloads I'd been making for the rifles were only small 50rd batches, but those loads are dialed in already, so there's no reason I can think of to keep me from making some additional batches. Of course I'll need to make some more empty cases for the 6.5, but that's not a bad thing.

    Evening all!
Yes, a PCR, that sounds nice!
I would like a PCR someday, as well. Gun fund in limbo now waiting on the CMP, though.

Figured it will be easier and cheaper(compared to a Garand) to get a PCR in the future.
I do love me my wizard cajunized PCR!

    Morning folks

Started going through my 223 brass last night and sorting some of it out. I'm currently using Lake City and Norma brass for my 69gr and 77gr hand loads in my Howa mini action rifle. Looks like I have plenty of that brass for additional batches, at least another 150rds for each load. I was doing hand loads for the Noveske AR, but I find the process more enjoyable for a bolt gun.

In addition to getting reloading going again, I think I need to get back to practicing self-defense / CQB training along with basic rifle marksmanship skills, like using a sling in the various positions (prone, kneeling, standing) and shake the rust off so to speak. I've gotten too complacent the last few years since my focus turned more towards precision rifle shooting.
