Be angry and sin not- Jesus

I think if its ok with Jesus its ok with me to be angry. Anger is an emotion. The problem lies in your ACTION to it.

-1 for getting us back on topic LOL

See, it's all in how you interpret the bible that causes so many misconceptions and things. I read that passage as saying to NOT be angry and to not sin. Not to be angry, just don't sin. Following Jesus' teachings would lead me to believe that he would have preached that we should not waste our time being angry, and to not sin in the eyes of God (and your fellow man).

So, to me, even Jesus is telling you that you're wrong. But that's my interpretation.

Other passeges would dispel your interpretation.

Like maybe when Jesus tore the crap out of the guys who were using the Temple as a bartering house and defiling the atonement system put in place by Moses?

+1 Hotdoger. I don't care if you can't spell your own name! LOL ;)

INGO is so interesting. On this forum I have learned that -

Bad Police officers do not represent all Police Officers. They are just a few bad apples, a few isolated incidents, and we shouldn't judge all Police Officers based upon the actions of a few morons. I completely agree with this mindset. I agree with it so much, that I apparently have the magical super power to apply that logic to everything else. People are responsible for their own actions! That makes perfect sense.

But what's this? :wrongdoor: One armed man, in a nation that probably has more firearms than citizens, shouting at a security guard, makes all Seventy Million (or more) "gun owners" look bad? And one imaginary man carrying an imaginary handgun into Ohio makes the entire population of INGO look bad?

What's the ******* difference, INGO? Are people solely responsible for their own actions or not?

    It's a definite maybe.

As I'm sure they could. Don't just give me one out of context and expect someone to follow along. It's how people like the Westboro Baptists get so wacky.

That's the thing with the Bible, you can get it to read however you want it to read if you take enough out of context. Same with the Koran and any other religious book.

I wonder if this is what you saw

Thanks to a Security Guard in Lafayette I decided to spend a little time with my wife the other day, so we got a sitter for the kids, I took a day off work and we went out for dinner. Of course, I was OC my S&W M&P sc the whole time. Afterwards, she wanted to do a little shopping at the mall, so I tagged along. Well, I forgot that the mall was a Simon property, and that guns were not allowed there. We were headed to Bath and Body Works when this douchebag security guard comes up to me and says "Hey Wyatt Erp, you know you can't have that thing on this property!" I apologized and said that we would gladly leave if my gun and my money were not wanted. Well, that apparently wasn't enough for him. He proceeded to call me a "cowboy" wearing my "pea-shooter" in the open to "compensate for something". He then turns to my wife and says "Hey pretty lady, how about you come home with me tonight, and I'll show you what a REAL MAN can do." He then ended it all by accusing me of "shooting blanks".

Well, I had heard enough at that point, and I laid into him like a bulldog on a bone. I gave him a verbal tongue lashing that he will never forget. I then proceeded to tell him that if he ever spoke to my wife like that again, I would beat him so hard that his children would come out well behaved.

By this time a crowd had gathered, and I can just imagine the spectacle. It's rent-a-cops like him that give all security guards a bad name. He needs to realize that when he puts on that uniform, he represents the whole security guard culture.

I am calling BS. Some security guard tells your wife if she wants to see what a REAL MAN can do?

I din't know screen names had to be spelled to suit you.

    Learn something new everyday here.:yesway:

From your post I learned, I should always tell you when I am being sarcastic.

I wasn't aware that paragraphs had to be made to suit you. Sarcasm right back at you. Besides, I thought there was a color for sarcasm?

I learned from your post that it appears you'd rather throw sarcastic comments than address the issue. Do you really want to continue the grammar/spelling nazi thing?

Paragraphs suit those that care about others reading their posts.
The "sarcasm" addressed the truth in the issue.
Some need the color because they have comprehension issues. I will make sure to give you color next time.
You and others want to think that others actions reflect on you, fine but don't say they reflect on me, because they don't.
I am resaponsible of my words and my actions.

    Thanks for confirming Goodwins Law!:rockwoot:

"slow to anger " is pretty easy to understand since it appears many times.

Sarcasm works when it's not incomprehensible, ergo colors are needed in some cases. Thank you for using color from this point on.

Goodwins Law? The thread hasn't teminated and the only thing I've lost is precious time conversing with you.:n00b:

If you don't think the actions of others don't reflect on you then you obviously haven't been paying attention to history. Why were the soldiers returning from Vietnam labeled "baby killers"? Because a very few had actually taken innocent life and the media played it up. I've seen democrats referred to as "socialists" and "communists" on this very site, but we know those labels don't apply to all Democrats no more than the label of "fascist" refers to Republicans. But all are tarred with the same broad brush.
