What happens to prices is likely to depend to some degree on what happens in Congress. In a free market prices will be based on supply and demand. Demand is up now because we rightly fear limits on what we can buy. I hope prices come down at some point and I expect they will.
    No crap.

ZX had several ARs under $1000 on their table today. That certainly killed the market for people trying to sell theirs at panic prices.

Sorry, I am one of those selling at pre panic prices.

I probably get out more than most. I just don't see the point in gouging.

No, I am not a socialist or a fascist or an Obama supporter or whatever else you are going to call me. I am just someone who knows eventually the bubble will burst an those who have been gouging, especially here, might feel a little bight in their future sales. They should too, $3/piece of brass? Are you kidding me? So yes, I use my right not to buy and move on, I also use my right to sell my stuff at a price I feel is fair. If you would rather pay more and buy from someone else, that too is your right. It is rather silly to want to pay more but it is certainly your right.

The sellers though aren't getting the hint that panic pricing is fading, you can't get 1300.00 now for a 600.00 rifle but they just keep bumping them up. I got a Colt AR at walmart yesterday, the magpul edition, for 1196.00 but i'm not going to rush out and put it on gunbroker for 2500.00 now.

I'm not sure I understand this statement. You ever looked at the housing market? Why should firearms be any different?

The value of the firearm is exactly what someone is willing to pay for it. NOW. Nothing else. Certainly not what it cost to purchase new at some point in the past. In fact, that's probably the most irrelevant factor.

I think he meant that the sellers don't realize nobody is paying those prices anymore, not that they are wrong to be trying.

I guess because firearms aren't houses :dunno:Your post doesn't make any sense, I was saying that these sellers need to re-evaluate their prices, the panic buying is calming down but sellers aren't figuring it out which should be apparent because people are not paying what they are asking. Were not talking houses here, were talking guns that two months ago everybody knows were selling for 600.00 and now people were trying to get 1200.00. And guess what they are still selling new for 600.00. Watched a guy buy an Olympic yesterday at walmart for 650.00. Look at all the overpriced AR's now and people are not willing to pay for them anymore.
