If it were me trapped inside a house, that's the kind of response I would hope for when I called for help....

As mentioned above, I love how the same people on their high horse laughing about the officers being outgunned are the same ones that ***** about the JBT over the top para military over gunned super swat police force.
I spoke with guys who where there. They got down into the basement looking for the dude after searching the upsatirs. After all four where in the basement the guys opens up with an AK. Think about that. You dont know where he is and you get 30 rounds of AK dumped on you. Miracle they did not get hit. However they could not get back to the stairs without being vulnerable. One of the four did not have a radio, so dispatch could not hear him, they knew of all the AK fire, what would you assume? That is why so many other officers and life line where there.
The extra gear that the robot brought was a large Kevlar blanket. The officers got out undercover of the Kevlar, while they guy was hosing them with AK while getting out.
As far as I am comcerned, I think they deserve a fricking medal of valor and they showed great restraint by not just burning the house down with the gunman in the basement.
Kevlar blanket wouldn't stop a 7.62x39 round would it? Thought you would need trauma plates also to be effective.
Depends on Range and angle...Kevlar blanket wouldn't stop a 7.62x39 round would it? Thought you would need trauma plates also to be effective.

Wow, I didn't know armchair quaterbacking was such a popular sport these days.

Self-assumed knowledge is much more dangerous than proven ingornace...Don't start confusing the issue with inconvenient facts. The guy was a non-violent offender (ID theft) and the JBTs over reacted. We are sticking with that.

It's kind of sad, really. This thread basically makes me dislike non-LEOs more.
Yup...I thought that INGO in general has made you dislike gun-owning non-LEO more (your words, not mine)?
Which is weird because it has had the exact opposite effect on my views of LEOs as a whole.
