If you want custom. Talk to bob Atkinson at Cherokee hills exotic wood grips. Amazing stuff he did my gaboon ebony spade grips.Ive got a pair of vz grips for my 1911 and they are nice but I’m wanting some wood ones. Anyone know of someone who has slim grips with a flat bottom for a magwell?
+1 Zips Grips are great. And I am a big fan of Wilson Combat grips as well. They make a thin grip that is very nice and I THINK they still produce some of of cocobolo, desert wood, walnut, and a few others, but for sure G10. For example, their French Walnut flat bottoms are gorgeous, and while the aren't cataloged as "thin", they are thinner than standard production gov't grips. Also try McCormick's, They used to make some very nice thin carry grips out of various woods. These are readily available about anywhere that sells 1911 stuff but look up Zips Grips. I use him.
I’ve see their slim grips and their magwell grips that cover the mainspring pin but not both which is what I’m looking for.I know houge make some I have a set they are smooth and I put grip tape on them. I also have a set of sti slim grips as well.
Depends.Would slim grips match up with a magwell?
