Singer Toby Keith dead at 62

Very Sad. Saw him in concert at Deercreek, a year or two after 9-11. Put on a great show.

My wife got to meet him backstage at one of his concerts at Deer Creek. She always talked about what a nice guy he was to her and the fans who got to go backstage. This is a real bummer.

Just this past week we saw Toby on YouTube talking about his cancer, we never knew it. Sounded like he had got over the worse and was improving. Dang, RIP.

Yeah, I saw a recent YT interview and he was talking about the chance of doing some appearances, but he was looking very gaunt though in the interview that I had seen. In the interview he also spoke about having come to terms with his cancer and that what will be will be.

RIP Toby.

I remember reading about Toby Keith and Ted Nugent with their guitars flying around Iraq in a helicopter and giving impromptu mini concerts at small FOBs that weren’t on the big show scedule. That was awedome.
