Interesting, I would love to have an original p6 wish they where still in the 300 range and I love me some sigs but 1100 is a bit out of my price range but its cool that they are releasing it again.

New frame- stainless slide I get it... Its not your P6 sitting in the back of the safe...

When I received the email today I was thinking, nice, good timing for the holidays, a 'new' 225. Watched the video on my phone while at work... Thinking to myself hmm, sure, if they come in at $5-600+ maybe...

Then I went to website and >>>> MSRP $1122. Are you f'ing insane. My P30sk v3 with nite sights was $650. The Walther P99c AS is $500 with a very very short reset.

    Come on Sig. :noway:

Looks like a cross between a real 225, and a 239. What a waste! The 225/P6 is a timeless design that didn't need to be effed with!

I have a P239 and don't see much to be gained with this model. As I remember it is slightly bigger with the same capacity.

That's so salty people with blood pressure issues aren't allowed to handle it.

They feel amazing, second I picked one up I fell in love. Will probably sell my M11A1 to fund one of these

Price is up there, but anymore it's just the price to play I guess

SIG's full size pistols all have MSRPs higher than $1000 and street prices significantly lower than MSRP. I wouldn't get too bent out of shape by the announcement.

This is true, but it's still a $150-ish premium over a very similar P239. It's also knocking around Legion territory, and I wonder how many people will bite on the P229 Legion instead of the P225-A1.

Exactly. Arrogance or stupidity or both? Can you imagine the marketing meetings on setting the pricing. Amazing. I'll pass on this one.

That looks like a nice gun, but it is not the 225 , the P225 had a larger grip swell & large trigger guard.. Makes it great for winter carry when you might have bulky gloves on.. I might want to add this to my collection.. but it would not replace the 225..

My question is what market are they trying to influence with this release? I mean it's no pocket pistol and I dare to call it a real light weight compact. Don't get me wrong, I truly love sigs p series pistols and have several. Anyone know the thickness compared to the m11a1 or p229?

People in magazine capacity limited states? People with smaller hands or who want more recoil absorption? People with $1k they don't want any longer who think a metal 9mm single stack would be sorta neat?

Sig is claiming 1/4" thinner than the P229. I would *guess* this is the maximum thickness at the slide, and that the grip has more of a difference in thickness, but that's just a guess at this poitn.
